    Johnson City

J & J Ranch I've been to the Jansco's Showbar site a few times in the last 15 years but I've never been able to identify where the J & J Ranch was located. Does anyone know the coordinates of it's location?

    Questions about stroke...

I know this seems like a simplistic view and solution to a player, of your rating, finding their effortless/soft stroke but the 1,000 balls drill really works. The drill can be done in a few days, a couple of weeks or even a month or longer. But, if you do it, for at least 1,000 balls, I believe...

I miscue on this shot a LOT, for years.

I agree with shortening your bridge. I miscue on soft/stick shots like this too. Trying to hit low but soft, to make the drag shot work, makes my brain itch. Shortening the bridge makes me shorten my backstroke so I accelerate better. It also keeps the tip from dipping as my grip hand passes...

    So, How Y'all Doin'?

Pro Pool Players Come Together FWIW, I thought it nice that pro players could be organized in this manner. I'm starting to think Professional Pool has a stronger foothold than we sometimes admit. https://www.facebook.com/marharytafefilava/videos/216329936360040/

abc Wide world of Sports - The great pool shootout - Mosconi /Fats

Every time a thread comes up about the Mosconi/Fats competitions on Wide World of Sports, so many thoughts and emotions go through my head. I’m not sure how old I was when they first aired, but I was a teen. I had my drivers license but still lived at home with my parents. Wide World of Sports...

    Joshua Filler … Psyops?

IMO, just full on confidence! Even players like me can get singularly focused, on the shot, and forget about the template. If you’re focused on using the template as a sharking move, you’re not wholly focused on the shot. I doubt a peanut butter sandwich on the table would affect Filler in dead...

    Aranas vs. Filler Ten Ball

This is incredible! What a player. I wonder if this is the classic “poke the bear” with all the social media posts about DD possibly being the favorite. This is impressive. Sent from my iPhone using AzBilliards Forums

    Pre-Stance Routine ... A New Approach

Once again, a great video Dr. Dave. Your videos have content that can benefit players of all skills and that is no easy feat. Watching it one time thru, it reminded me of 3 principles that I need to keep in mind during my shot. Everyone’s stance, stroke and vision center are unique to them...

So I'm In Action And This Happens - WWYD?

OMG, this, with the backstory, so describes every local gamble! Talk shit, gamble, talk more shit, threaten, act the ass, don’t apologize but be amicable, talk more shit, have a burger. . . repeat as many times as necessary to keep the action going. Pretty much describes my entire pool...

How do you turn the tide when you just don't "have it"

The answer to this is hard to put into words, but . . . Everyone who plays pool goes through this. Different skill levels have different ways of getting past it. Many players will tell you a good pre-shot routine will get you past it. I don’t believe that is entirely true. But a good...

how low can you contact cb with a level cue?

Describes me perfectly!🥴 Max draw, with distance, using a medium stroke is a misery for me. But once in a while tho . . . , I hit it pure. Same story, makes me believe I can hit with consistency. My results prove otherwise. [emoji35] Sent from my iPhone using AzBilliards Forums
