From all the players I've watched in person, which was mostly throughout the 90's, I'd say all the top players were great shot makers. The one thing Earl had was that he just made it look easier than anybody else. Here's an example. I watched him warming up before a match at the Sands one...

If Johnny hasn't sent the cue yet, I think you should disqualify him and do another contest for the cue. IMO.

I have to admit that after I've watched his matches I've found myself emulating his chalking style and have had to slap myself to stop doing it. I am thankful he he is not one of those guys that holds the chalk between his feet to chalk. ;)

I have to agree that the initial selection process of the IPT was arbitrary but the weaker players would get weeded out over time, if the tour was to continue. And anybody had a chance to qualify if they weren't initially selected. They just had to earn it. As far as I know, nobody got a second...

Here's what you do. Tell him "Sure, I'll send you copies". Then politely ask if you can get a couple snaps of him. Start a "MS Paint/Photoshop this picture" thread with one of them and send him a disc filled will the results. :eek:

Ralf is a bad ass player. I think if he got some tats, a couple piercing, grew a mohawk (ok, maybe a reverse mohawk) and developed an attitude he would be way more interesting to watch. :D
