    Apologies to Danny Harriman

Hats off to you Blackjack for coming up with that idea of the design for Johnny's fans to have the extra available for his fans, after all it's the fans and the younger upcoming players, who learn from watching players like Johnny, Danny, Earl and countless other top pros, that help the sport to...

    Apologies to Danny Harriman

My late father passed away from Diabetis over 12 years ago, and both my brother and eldest sister are both diabetic also, and so, as you can imagine, I'm being careful with what I drink and eat :) That's some pretty nice work Blackjack, and at $5.50 per disc ain't bad at all :) Willie

Huge Financial Blow To Pro Snooker

There are both snooker and pool rooms that are closing down because of the economy here, but on top of that, the utility bills are extortionately high because of the high fuel costs, which is because of the british Gov't's greed. Everything in the UK is effected by the cost of fuel, and the...

    Diliberto/Cozzolino video lesson

Thanks Flex, it's awesome that Chris's Billiards is still up and running :) It would be even more awesome to be able to travel to the US, and travel to the Windy City and check out a few rooms and play a few tourneys, even if it's just for the fun of it :) Right, no more going off topic for me...

Huge Financial Blow To Pro Snooker

Hey Everyone :) As someone who lives in the UK, I can say wholeheartedly that I'm not suprised because the British Gov't seems to be hell bent on making life nearly impossible for everyone here, but then again I agree that perhaps there was a little too much dependancy on tobacco/liquor...

Az Members who build their own cues please post photo's of your new and old work!!!!

Hey Craig, you're most very welcome buddy :) That is a sweet jump cue indeed and I'm not suprised that there are alot of local players looking to have one of your custom jumpers, especially with the ring work that you do in the collars and the butt cap :) The pearlescent rings add a nice touch...

Thanks Dennis :) Sounds like my kinda room, especially a room that is mostly straight, banks and one pocket, I'll bet it'll look great when the refurb is finished :) Is Chris's Billiards still open or is it closed down? :), I believe there were quite a few scenes filmed there in TCOM :) Willie

    Broke my high run.

The stroke I have is very similar to Jackie Gleason's stroke, even though he was an actor/comedian, he knew his way around the table and he had that classic violin-player type stroke with a non hesitant follow through. Congrats on breaking your high run Pete, nice shooting buddy :) One of the...

    dragon 14.1 who is entered

Again I agree totally :) The one thing I do wonder is, if that perhaps it might've been better for DP to have more people involved with organizing an event, to help bring the work load down a little, that way it would give a bit more oppertunity for Charlie (or anyone behind the scenes) to come...

    2008 US Open 14.1 Champs

Hey Everyone :) I was wondering if the US Open 14.1 event is being held this year and if so, where, when and who's going? :) I would love to try and make it over for this event, but it's unlikely unless I'm able to find somewhere to start practicing on American tables again :) Thank you in...

    You'd be surprised....

Yeas, and that's what makes Rotation such a nice game to shoot, but straight pool is undoubtedly the best game around and it's certainly the most demanding game around too :) Willie

    You'd be surprised....

there is 1 problem with rotation that is a major pain in the ass, and that is when your opponent waits till you take off all the lower numbers whilst he makes all the higher numbers :) lol, at least that's what my friend had told me all too often  lol Rotation is great for good safety...

    You'd be surprised....

Alot of pool players nowadays are missing out on a great welath of knowledge from not playing games like STraight Pool, Full Rack Banks, etc, which is kinda saddening in a way, but I guess it's a case of different strokes for different folks :) Willie

    You'd be surprised....

I've had this happen on quite a few occasions from when a friend of mine and myself used to shoot ALOT of straight pool at the local pool hall. Usually it would be people of different ages wondering what game it is we're playing, because of the fact that we're shooting any ball and leaving the...

Advice Needed On Installing Plain Leather Wrap

I was going to wrap over the op of the grip, but I would be happier removing the original grip as it's only a thin layer of rubber or something, as it's got that chalkboard paint feel to it, that I hate with a passion. Willie
