Yeah... This is a classic pool player one-liner. Thanks for this :) Lesh I agree, perfection is not all it's cracked up to be.

Question for people who use a hard tip

I'm a user of whatever works. I use the tip pick when a tip gets old and I do not want to sped the time tracking down the little tin I have with my spare tips in it, or if I am getting aggravated with my tip slipping around the CB during a match. I prefer to shape and maintain my tips like my...

    What tips do you use??

I have three straight maple shafts I play with consistently. On two of them that are my main players, I use Kamui Mediums... I've never tried Kamui before, so this is more of a trial period. I usually use a good Triangle that has passed my Freddie Agnir bite test and the sinker in the glass of...

Imagine if pool tables had no side pockets. Would pool be more interesting to watch?

Yes, yes, indeed yes. This is the way pool was intended to be played by intermediate and above players. Why would anyone need more that two pockets??? One for you to put balls into and one for your opponent (if they ever get to the table).... The ills of the world would be solved quickly if...

Now it's getting weird, another pool related post

See, this kind of thing kills me. Same with people that buy cues for "the investment baby, the investment".... whatever, cues... well, okay most of them were made and intended for the owner to PLAY them. I may be the outlaying grassy knoll fringe economist here, but the joy you get from playing...

    Mr Wilson

This looks like a full splice that has been repaired after someones nephew used the pretty stick in his uncles closet as a stick-ball bat and tree tester. The nephew will be missed (by some) Lesh

    Shafts

I must admit for the record, being a person that grew up shooting with normal maple shafts, it seems to me that it would be easier for most to go from an LD shaft to a maple shaft rather than the other way around. When I practice, I toss a Z2 with an 11.75 mm granite pebble glued to it on a very...

The great debate; what do YOU prefer for a break-cue, ultra lite or ultra heavy?

Yeah yer screwed bro... table time is the air your game breathes. Get a 42 oz break cue and a rubber helmet and be well. Lesh

The great debate; what do YOU prefer for a break-cue, ultra lite or ultra heavy?

Light break stick with lots of practice to control it... the key is to just relax and trust your rhythm. Speed is always preferable where performance is desired. Slow and steady is desirable if you want consistency in my experience. I like the speed. Lesh

Receive the wrong cue from Budget Billiards?

Dewd... Few know the true depth. For what we see is only on the surface.... and the bottom has a rocky reputation. (Joe Walsh lyrics / / / full-stop) Lesh

    school me on cue balls..

I've only seen one hall in my area that uses the Cyclop ball set. The pure outrage from the pool community was such that they were forced to replace the cue balls with the Aramith Tournament measle ball. My personal feeling is that you should use what you will be using in the setting your are...

Hohmann loses to Ko because of the Cyclop balls

Agreed. However... I must also say (again, as I have remarked in the past) that the Cyclop balls seem to be constructed fine and have a peerless finish on them.... exceptional workmanship. I salute the manufacturer for their expertise. That said, the material they use for their balls is a fail...
