    Scott Lee lesson

Lesson withScott Scott gives much more instruction than he charges for I can assure you. In fact you'll wonder how he stays so enthusiastic about the game and best of all you have made a good friend. Cost is the last thing you'll remember!

    Cue refinish

I have an ebony cue by a well known cue maker that made it for me approx 20 years ago and I have used it very little (dozen times). It has silver rings which I suppose due to aging have raised above the wood somewhat and the edges are very noticeable. So far I have been unable to make contact...

    >>WATCH LIVE<< 2016 US Bar Table Championships, Aug 22-28

Kiddie tables? Funny kind of, since "grown men" play one pocket. Even immature grown men won't play one pocket on a 7' table. Maybe 9 or 10 ball is a kiddee game?

got my new cuetec r360 cue today

Re: Cuetec r360 Presently, I own 30-40 cues. Some are cheapos, some are mass produced average cues, some are high end mass produced cues, some are well made custom cues by cuemakers whose names probably will never be known. Finally, a few are made by cuemakers who are world class, so judged...

Best PLANE JANE Hard Case, 2x4 which fits a jump cue...

Well, now that I have become better informed and read Mr. Barton's response, I declare myself a fan of JB Cases. There rarely is a perfect fitall for everyone. Maybe never. But their willingness to look at and attempt constructing your own design is impressive. Their building a quality case...

    Re:Cuetec R360 Cue

Re:Cuetec R360 Cue Interested in opinions of and experiences with the Cuetec R360 vs other similar and comparable cues. Additionally, how it would you rate it compared to custom cues or highly regarded mass produced cues fitted with LD shafts such as OB, Predator, Jacoby Edge and others,

    The Accu-Stats “Make It Happen” 1-Pocket Invitational <<==={{{

Danny Smith would surely enhance this event. He is proven to beat anyone on a given day, he is young and will be around for a long time. Plus he has a following that will be around a long time. His fearless style of play takes away some of the boredom that many associate with one pocket. He...

    Measle Ball Benefit

Measles Ball Like others I prefer the red circle ball. Over the years my proficiency and sensitivity has increased to the point that the slightest change upsets my finely tuned fingers. I can tell what ball I'm using; measles ball, a red circle, a blue circle, a red dot, or blue dot. Even...

Why does leather make the best tip?

Rhino leather tip. As much as I liked OHB (RIP) he made a mistake on his calculations! Later testing concluded a 3515 lb Rhino produced the ultimate leather for tips! Actually an interesting question and I would like to see as many choices as possible to be available. Would definitely add...

    DCC updates..

DCC Coverage? It's interesting to me that there is essentially no coverage on the biggest event in pool unless it is reported by enthusiasts who have a passion for the game. And they must usually schedule vacation time and pay to attend the event! Thank you fellow enthusiasts for taking your...

    LED Light vs Diamond Light

Diamond Light My Diamond light is an older version that may have been mentioned and it has six eight foot bulbs. I bought 6 replacement bulbs with the highest intensity I could find and it does a very good job. Getting old so I need light!

Has the quality difference between "custom" and "production" become negligible?

Of course you're right. The importance of a thread like this is the discussion, not to declare a victor. An exchange of ideas and opinions is always beneficial and constructive if one listens and speaks with an open mind. Otherwise, it becomes like religions and politics.

Has the quality difference between "custom" and "production" become negligible?

Production vs custom My opinion on cues has changed after buying over, well, too many, is that most of the top tier production cues, overall, are better made. Those companies simply have better equipment and engineers to design and test them. Problem is anyone can own one and therefore no...

    Wood, joint, ferrule tip recommendation

My cue preference is one with a firm hit. Overall it seems cues with a SS joint have the firmest hit. Not sure that is always true though. I've heard most cues are cored so my thinking is if this is true then the coring wood is what determines the hit regardless of the wood used externally...

Had a debate with a friend about Max Eberle...

Re:Stroke/Fundamentals It's surprising that so many people say this chanpion or that champion wins and his fumdamentals aren't correct. The forget or don't know that he has a natural talent/ability that enables him to win even with bad fundamentals. There isn't anyone who plays well despite...

    HELP-Collar on my Z2 shaft?

Joint collars A joint collar changes the joint from being the weakest part of the shaft to the strongest part of the shaft. Once you are informed of the risk then do what you wish. I have both styles .............in almost everything but I'm not as smart as most people.
