That's an interesting product and system they've developed. I have no idea how it would make the cue play in practice. However, I can tell one thing just by looking and that is that those designs are god awful ugly. It's like they're trying to too hard.
I've been a fan of this west coast swing over the last several years. Big names playing on big tables. I've enjoyed the hell out of it.

I remember reading and lurking not too long after we got our first family computer and internet access (AOL) back in 96 or so. I was 12 and hadn't been playing pool for very long. I got my first real cue (a Meucci 95 series) for my 12th birthday and still have it. I don't think I ever posted...
That's probably part of it. It's probably overall opportunity cost. Potential ROI vs expenses, what other tournaments are going on with better odds and lower cost, etc.
I bought the stream because 1. There are some killers in this field and some inevitably good matches and 2. The stream quality is going to be good. However, 41 players is a crazy low turnout and it sucks to see that. It seems they get less players at every event. It seems crazy that guys...
I'm sorry I don't have an answer, but it's something I've wondered as well. It looks like tradition has a hold over a lot of the snooker equipment: triangle chalk, odd mushroom shaped tips, ash cues of plain design. I'm not hating at all. There is nothing wrong with a traditional look and feel.
I was going to say I hope no one runs this guy off because his stuff is hilarious, but I knew it was "ram shot" guy. That being said I agree there is actually some truth to this one. It's harder for me to make a good stroke when I'm trying to baby it rather than make a full normal hit...
I think I agree with this. I'm really not sure what purpose they serve other than to make rules no one actually follows. They don't really hold enough gravitas for anyone to respect and use their rules.

I'm just shaking my head at some of the replies in these threads. I can't believe people are actually upset that someone with a proven track record for building events and entire sports (darts, snooker) are actually upset he now has skin in the game for American pool. I could care less if he's...
Did you miss the press release and the other threads? The rights to the US Open were bought by Matchroom (which produces the best events on the calendar) and is being moved to Las Vegas next April.
Fine I would imagine. If I'm not mistaken Pat's even is for this year, and the Matchroom US Open won't have it's first year until 2019. If Pat's event continues next year it still looks like they will be on separate dates in separate locations.
It seems like the problem with straightness is a problem of terminology. I know when I think of a straight stroke I think of side to side motion or lack thereof rather than up and down motion. I realize that in the Digicue Blue app that is called tip steer, but I could see how that could be...
Only 2 nights left of this VNEA session including tonight. I feel like the length of this session has been appropriate. It always starts early Fall of the previous year (September), but the end of the season has varied over the last several years between mid/late February and early April...
