I'm sorry but I just don't understand. With more and more Pool Halls and Bars going to Diamond tables why would you even consider buying anything but a Diamond table to practice on at home?
I though the Ice Breaker was an attempt t make a JUMP/BREAK tip. If you are going to use it only for breaking There are numerous hard leather tips for a lot less money.
The shade is quite a stretch, but back in the 70's the bar I was a regular in had a worn out corn broom that we ruffed up the end of the stick that we played with. And yes I ran racks with it. And I was only a B player at best back then.

One of the old tricks is when your opponent is racking crocked. Break from the side the rack is swung too. You have more of the second ball to hit.
And yes I have made it more than once, in one night, playing in a bar.

What was the balance point of the Cues you used to play with versus the Cue you are playing with now?
I prefer a Cue that is balanced 19 to 19.5 inches from the butt.
