I liked part of the Bonus Ball idea. But I like 9-Ball &10-Ball for short match play.
I didn't like the format of the players living in one City... Getting the Cities to pump up the rivalry part, would give it some interest. Maybe even the Media could help out with that...
If the VISITING...
I think all of these companies have something that might work in or for Pool. Their business models must have some facet, that is cause for their success.
I'm not much of fan for anything, but Pool N Billiards, Country Music & Custom Hot Rods & Cars... the rest doesn't exist for me....
I think our emphasis should be on Amateur Pool Players. When the time comes that Big Tournaments need the "Icing on the Cake", we can turn to the Pros, for their additives.
The many need to serve the many, not the few.
We are in a world of HiTech, that means our "Little Stage" can be...
Man's dilemma with RULES has always been funny, sad and/or downright questionable. I liked your post insertion about the "302 CI Sometimes", I'm sure folks who seen that inscription, are still laughing to this day.
Smokey Yunick was the fellow that got that idea patented.... Smokey Yunick was famous for innovations to a race car.
He also changed the roof line & moved the body to better the weight distribution. NASCAR started making templates & gages to check body lines.
Smokey also had the Basketball...
You can't buy that table around here for less than 4-6 thousand, if you can find one.. That looks like a nice one. But it will spoil you, the rails are as solid as can be, the best ever. So, when you practice at home, it won't be the same at the Pool Room...
Little things like this, create the scenario where, "some Pool Players are looked up to, in the Pool Room, but all Pool Players are looked down on, by Society...
It's a "Monkey See, Monkey Do" type scenario...
One of my friends carries a small rag, to wipe his cues after play, so that his case doesn't get dirty.
My case is about 8 years old, I never wipe my Cues & my case has never caused me to miss a shot.
I made my Pool Glasses, about 18 years ago... I got tired of playing badly, craning my neck & looking over the rims... bad deal, all the way around.
These glasses allow me to see normal (90 degrees) to the focal plane, no aberrations for me...
The temples are bent to allow me to see the balls...
The other night, I was blocked about 1/4 inch, in a shot of about 18 inches on a Snooker Table, playing Golf. So I grabbed the Bridge & put a Jump-Masse on them... wow , you should heard them holler... The bridge is an easy tool to use. Get used to it....you`'ll be glad you did. It is your...
Broken BreakRAK
Hello AlphaDog, have you sent me your BreakRAK, to be repaired with No Charge..?
The BreakRAK is warranted for LIFE, your life.
Anything can break. A Monkey can beat up a Ball Bearing, with a Rubber Hammer, if allowed to...
The Break Shot.
Well, here is the TRUTH, a Break Cue won't teach you anything. But a Training Aid, that has been around for 19 years, can & is guaranteed to please you or your money back. We have many, many BreakRAKs out there, that are 19 years old & still doing well for someone. If you...
Build yourself a phony Vent, that your cues are stored in. Just cut a hole in the wall or ceiling, store your Cues & put a long vent over the hole. Voila, a hidden place for your cues.
Linen Wrap vs Cork
I played with linen for years.... 50 Plus. there were a few problems but humidity isn't your friend. My Cue Maker Buddy, Guido Orlandi introduced me to high quality Cork & that's when I'm at for the last 9 years. Won't go back ... & it's cleanable.
Our Snooker Table at Magoos, that we play GOLF on every day, can't be anywhere level, It has a ball & half roll off from end rail to corner.
Level isn't a word that's spoken here...
Hey... we know there is a motive here, did he try to sell you a new shaft or a new ferrule.../ did he apologize for ruining your chances for playing better with this new shaft...???????
Can he replace it with Ivory, ivory substitute or whatever ?????????????????? Let us Know...
