Questions about Diamond Table Light Installation

I forgot to add that you get hanging wires precrimped through eye bolts that are in a nice plastic bag with washers and nuts and the holes for the eye bolts are predrilled through the cross pieces and two really nice Diamond stickers you can put on them.

Questions about Diamond Table Light Installation

I guess you've figured out that all you get is the Diamond Wood frame and two fluorecent fixtures. You'll need to pig-tail one fixture to the other after mounting them to the cross pieces of the frame. Then run a wire direct to outlet (plug) or pigtail to the junction.

    Room OWNER questions

    1) ~$350/table 2) Simonis 860 3) Annually, maybe twice a year for the one by the bar 4) Twice a week on average 5) Cyclop, on my first set that came with Diamonds and I'll replace when they start to chip and show deep scuffs that won't polish out. 6) Cheaper to replace than retip...

    poolroom input please

I have a brand new 8-foot Smart Table that makes more than the league 7-footers. It is set up next to the bar and is played on constantly. You put your 50 cents up and when its your turn you try and hold the table. It sells a lot of beer, liquor and food while challengers wait their turn.

    Diamond Smart Table Maintenance

Donny is right ... call Diamond. That table saw abuse at one time. Is it out of warranty? Lubrication .... never use WD-40 for lubrication as what it offers is gone in a few days. Use a light oil like LPS or PB. Silicone is a bit better. Be carefull to lubricate just the metal to metal.

    Diamond Smart Table Maintenance

Banks ... did you get things taken care of? Still looking for pics. The bugs have worked out for awhile on mine. The one table quit choking on chalk. So far the micro switches, circuit boards, solenoids and connections have settled down. I bought a backup Greenwald to swap out if one jams. Life...

    Diamond Smart Table Maintenance

If the sensor lit off at least the micro switch and circuit board are working. Sounds like the solenoid is/was the problem if the arm wouldn't reset. I'm going to study mine a bit closer this weekend. When you say "the wire and spring disconnected from the lever that drops the balls" I assume...

    Diamond Smart Table Maintenance

On another note, I raised my Diamond lights to Diamonds recommended height of 78 inches from floor. Makes a world of difference. 78-32 (rail height)+1.5 (nose height)= 47.5 inches above bed.

    Diamond Smart Table Maintenance

1st thing, I'm not a mechanic. But after one month I've come across these issues that I've fixed myself or with guidance from Aaron at Diamond. Each of these are separate incidents. 1) Sensor was not lighting off and I was getting no power from the batteries. Pulled and reset batteries to fix...

    Coin table slate lift

I'm not a mechanic but I had my 14 Valleys (I now have 14 Diamonds) covered by a man that worked solo. He used one to lift the slate then placed a pair of carriers with ~ 1-inch roller bearings on the cross beams. He let the slate down on the bearings which allow him to move the slate around...

    Carpet or no Carpet?

I agree ... nothing pops a tip off or cracks a ferrule like standing a cue on its butt then let it drop on a hard floor. How do I know? We have carpet but there is an area of tile near the bar that a few cues have hit.

Steve's Cue & Grill, Huntsville, AL

Tooting my own horn here but we just upgraded from Valleys to Diamonds and Diamond lights ... 13 7-footers and one 8-foot community challenge table. Working on adjusting the 7-foot lights to optimum height.

Myself and the other pool rooms are 1/2 of the average movie ticket price in the area ($10 - $12). Regardless, interesting comparison.

Mounting diamond lights issue, plz help.

A few years late into this but I found these made by Da-Lite. Two are rated for 50 lbs. They clip around the rails and are suspended from the joist. I used 2 for my 7-foot lights (40lbs) and 4 for my 9-foot Diamond (75lbs). B&H had the best price but be prepared to get daily emails...

Josh and Brandon from Diamond did an excellent job of delivering and setting up 18 Smart Tables this weekend. They responded to any resonable request with a positive attitude. If you are planning on getting Diamonds ask for Josh and Brandon to deliver.
