LED Flat Panels - the next generation in lighting

Is it just me? This Sales Pitch thread has been around for almost a year and no price has ever been posted and no response to emails. This is BS .... How much are they?

    Valley Slate Sag

I'm not a mechanic but this is the easiest fix to help the roll off. Don't forget the glue buildup on top too.

What causes the cushions to look wavy after

BINGO!!!!! I've asked many customers to not hold a lit cigarette over the table ... to remove their beer from the pocket ... and use the chairs and stools to sit on. We don't have darts!

    Loose Simonis

To my guys credit he is reworking all of my tables as I type ... using 3M10. I appreciate the fact that he tried something new to get them to play better. He gambled and sorta lost using spray but I don't fault him for trying.

    Loose Simonis

I'm not a mechanic ... but I can testify that humidity is the secondary culprit and just shows how good a recover was performed. With staples you shouldn't have had a problem if pulled tight enough. I own all Valleys that use adhesive to hold the cloth. I've found that cloth installed when...

My view of the financial viability of pool halls, and what has to change.

Steve's has most of what you describe but I've learned the hard way (new to the business world) that owning the building is the way to go. I pay enough rent to make a payment on a building. The landlord gets more money out of my business than I do. 2 1/2 years left on the lease then I start...

5 Valley Bar boxes w/ Simonis 860 Cloth

Hard to find a Valley on the Forest Moon Of Endor. You might have to settle for another recover on the Fischer. Had to do that.:grin-square:

Dumb a$$ looking for cue repair equipment

My in-house cue maker passed away. So, I'm looking for what equipment I need to replace tips and ferrules on my house sticks and for the occasional customer that walks in needing a new tip and/or ferrule. I want to be able to turn a 14mm ferrule down to fit the shaft. I have absolutely no...

    Questions about used Valley barboxes

I am not a mechanic but I own 13 Valleys and one Dynamo. Confirm the slate isn't cracked, rails are good (not hardened in spots or rubber loose from the subrail) and the frame isn't sagging too bad in the middle .... all old Valleys are slightly sagged in the middle. A good mechanic can help...

    Bobby Callahan, obit

Cuemaker and craftsman Bobby Callahan passed away at 75 on October 6th, 2014. He was well known in the North Alabama and Southern Tennessee area for his cues and cue repairs. His signature cue was a ball turned down for the joint. He worked out of his shop for over 20 years at Steve's Cue &...

Room Owner's observation ... Simonis 860 vs Championship Tour Edition

As matcase said, "tap tap tap tap tap tap tap" On another note ... I worked at a TV station in the middle '70s when chroma-key blue was used for background effects. That's why I call it TV Blue ... From wikipedia "Blue is generally used for both weather maps and special effects because it is...

Room Owner's observation ... Simonis 860 vs Championship Tour Edition

JMO, I would think for the home table 860 would be fine unless you need it to play like the tables your favorite hang-out. But for me, fortunately it comes in Simonis Green. My pool hall will always have green cloth. TV Blue just ain't right!

Room Owner's observation ... Simonis 860 vs Championship Tour Edition

Thanks for the input here and from others who watch this site. The installer I use has a pretty good price on Simonis 860HR, $15/table more than the 860. Keeping my fingers crossed we can make it on the 860 another 9 months.

Room Owner's observation ... Simonis 860 vs Championship Tour Edition

We've had our 14 tables covered with Simonis 860 in May. We had been using Championship Tour Edition before, recovering once a year. Already the 860 is not holding up as well as the Tour Edition and that is during the slow summer months. We may not make it a year. The Simonis site purports...

    Just like Simonis ?

Thanks! Glad someone else has that problem. With Alabama humidity and T.E. the morning of tournaments I had to run the AC at 66 to dry the air and get the wrinkles out. So far Simonis has held tight. I will try HR next recover.
