    Gold crown Bridge holder

I have two very similar that came from an Olhausen Grand Champion. If you can't find them from a GC, let me know if these would interest you.

    Which competition table for home?

I traded my Olhausen Grand Champion for a new GCIV. The finish, styling and play of the GCIV is far better to me. The Olhausen was far better than just about any other table but not as good as the gold standard IMHO. I have had an issue with the installer but that has nothing to do with the...

    Bludworth or BallStar ball cleaner?

On the Ballstar, is there a reservior for the polish or do you just pour the polish on the balls? What polish do you use? I have a home-made setup that I use made from pvc drain cover and drill attatchment with a polishing pads. I use Aramith ball polish and it works okay, but you can get...

Opinions needed on Gold Crown IV setup

Thanks for all of the input to everyone. I really appreciate it. Joe at Triangle billiards is standing behind it and assures me they will make it right. I have a question about the rails and apron assembly. The assembly manual says they should be assembled and squared off of the table and...

    Gold Crown IV custom improvements

Fast Mikie, I have the same problem with my rack hanger. I was going to try to coat the hanger with something to take care of the vibration. I love your idea. I am down in Chula Vista. Can you give me your friend Walter's contact info. I might want one... Great idea!

I knew the first guy was not up to par. I should have just told him to leave. The next guy will definately be aware of the issues before he even gets here. I will talk to him in detail and hopefully he will be able to come through.

Tennesseejoe - Please give me some more detail about the washer placement you mentioned. I remember that that legs where sitting directly against the frame bed but there was a wood pad, about .25" thick on top of the legs. Then a 90 degree metal bracket with two large bolts and washers that...

Thanks for the input guys. I really appreciate it. I have spoken to the owner of the store and he is on my side. He is going to have his top guy come down and re-assemble the table, and level with a machinist level this time. Should the frame be leveled first and then the slates trued and...

    Glove recommendations?

I have not heard of that one, but I have tried Drygrip for sports, and it didn't work well for me. Had a clay feeling to it and would have made a mess of the table. Drysol is an antiperspirant liquid that some have had luck with.

The line is actually on the top of the cushion, about 1" in from the Rail top. I am sure it is the joint of the rubber cushion and the rail. I doubt it would be visible with a regular cloth, but it is very visible with the worsted cloth. I was wondering if there should be a buffer material to...

That is what I thought. When I asked they guy if he was going to use a machinist level and he said, "what is that?", I should have known. Any input on the line on the rails? It is where the rubber cushion meets the rail. 5 out of six rails have a very distinct line that can be seen and felt...

    Glove recommendations?

I have the same problem. Very much a PITA for pool. I have used the normal stretchy material Sir Joseph gloves for years. I wash them after a coupl hours of use in the sink with dishwashing liquid and lay flat to dry. They will last a long time. I have about six that I will cycle through. I...

I got the idea for the glass test on the forum. I also thought about how true the glass surface was too. I rotated it around when the ball would run off and got the same results so I guess it might work. Would have been better to do this on the slate before the fabric went down.

I am in San Diego, Ca. My last install was done by Willie Olhausen, he did a good job so that is what I am expecting with this table too. I just wonder if I am expecting too much? Are these issues related to the install or the table?
