funny story from poolhall 60 yrs ago.

Nice! Whoever was behind giving the kid the c-note to use to get free gum probably had a stroke and couldn't wait to give him the quarter. Fantastic story.

    White Table Lines

Thanks, I know about the spot. I know how it helps avoid table wear on the spot. I'm simply talking about not relying on it for a straight rack as opposed to the straight line where it's more obvious when the rack is off center.

    White Table Lines

I'm curious. What do they use to draw the white lines on the table such as at the World 9 Ball Championships? Are they simply 'soap' marks made with tailor's chalk, or something else? Anyone know for sure? I like the cross at the foot spot in particular for racking the balls. Was thinking...

    Magic Trick (Pool Related)

Note that the cards were grouped on one side of the table with the chosen card farthest out near the open side of the table. Pretty much any stopping point in that area would have been closest to the card in question. Nice trick, but.... :D

Much better. As for buying here on AZB, I have purchased some minor things, but I check the for sale thread daily. I always keep an eye out for a possible deal on a nice cue, but I've never actually bought a cue thru here because, well, most are overpriced by folks simply flipping in my own...

Agree with this post too. I'm not taking Pooksters side, or anyone else's at this point, but I do question why folks are defending the seller when he pretty much still hasn't responded one way or the other as to what his intentions are going forward. He's clearly reading this post and the...

Still waiting to see how this whole issue resolves, but this post pretty much sums up how I see it up to this point.

Nice cue! Love my own Lomax and this is yet another good looking one.

Whatever you decide on, please test and make sure it doesn't come off on the hands if wet, sweating, or normal handling. I've been using Predator (heavy dark ink used on wrapper fades onto hand over time), but am anxiously awaiting this chalk being made available so I can try it. The lack of...

    Schon LTD ID

I spent some time researching this cue after my post as well. Couldn't find anything. Found one LTD that was similar but still different. Even carefully went thru Schon's very own archives and still no luck. Even if it's not as intricate as some others, I'm betting it's somewhat rare, which...

Hasn't been very long for this sort of reaction in my opinion. Most folks take a day or two to get things packed up and shipped. I will note that it's a little ironic, that the advertised cue is laying on a legal notice in the original ad. Sort of a "hey, I have legal issues, and a case...

They look great! I have to ask though...do they have to be completely round? Dropped chalk like that will roll forever. :(

    Players Pure X P1 Jump/Break Cue Help

I have two different friends that bought these, one went with black, the other white. They seem to break well, but I don't care for jumping with them. Personally, I prefer a lighter break cue, but if standard weight break cues are your thing, and that's your main concern, then they're a good...

    Pocket Size and the Pro's

I've been to several pro tournaments spread out over the last 20 years or so and pockets make a difference. I've seen tournaments where the pockets were like gaping black holes (yes, I'm exaggerating), but seriously, they were very large. I've also been to tournaments where they were the polar...
