    1Pocket: Situation 3/3/08 (2)

That's a bad shot, imo. In order for the 3 to go that far, you would need to hit firmly...and hitting the 8 on the side, you can't stop whitey in that area...so you're letting your rock loose. I wouldn't do this unless I'm just hitting balls around with a friend...even then I wouldn't shoot...

    1Pocket: Situation 3/3/08

The 3 ball is off the rail and a little over a diamond away from the side, that's plenty of room to bank into the stack and come around table. You may not get a lot of movement out of the other balls, but our main concern in this shot is the cue ball.

yeah, that's pretty much what we'd be looking for off the 3...

No problem...experiment with the spin as your stroke is different from mine...but a fuller hit and some spin will get you where you wanna go. Remember, let the spin take the cb around the table.

Let's say you're down in the ball count...and need the rest to win... I personally like to play like I need every ball on the table, don't give up anything.

    Anyone else been taught this?

that's the way I was taught, it seems to make sense...and I was taught by Hillbilly (one of the greatest strokes I've ever seen).

    1Pocket: Situation 3/3/08 (2)

I'd probably shoot the 12 with a touch of follow so I don't leave the 2 railer on the 10 and leave the cb on the rail or close to the corner pocket...

    1Pocket: Situation 3/3/08

Don't thin the 3, hit it fuller with some right english, possibly low right, 4 o'clock (more right than low), if you need a bit more angle...you'll fall right into the 10 for a devastating shot.

Looking to build a custom sneaky

It's hard to find a piece that long. If I have 2 pieces at 19" each, would that work do you think? Thanks for the comments everybody!

Looking to build a custom sneaky

Hey guys, I'm not a cuemaker, just a player. I'm looking for a cuemaker who can build a sneaky for me from scratch. I have some beautiful Afzelia burl that I'd love to turn into a sneaky if at all possible. It's a 1.5" x 1.5" x 19.5" piece. I can get another piece if needed, but I'd like to...

made this shot, but not sure how

In that diagram, it looks to me like the ball was frozen to the rail...which is why I say rail first hit. If it is supposed to be off the rail a bit, then I agree with the ball first hit. If I recall, he doesn't state whether the ball was frozen or not...

made this shot, but not sure how

This is a great shot, but you actually hit the rail before you hit the object ball. I like using right english on this shot. This same shot can be made along the long rail as well. They're both great shots to know if you play one pocket. Freddy's dvds will show you how to make these shots...

    Question for Jay Helfert

Not to sound too stupid, but how does a One Pocket ring game go? Say I'm one of 4 or 5 players...do we each play the ghost basically till we miss then another player breaks and runs till they miss? And are there any videos out there that I could take a look at of a One Pocket ring game? I was...
