    Ginacue Question

That's the understatement of the century!!! ;) :rotflmao1:

    Aiming System

And hitting a baseball is even harder when you consider that a guy who on average fails 7 out of 10 times over his career is hall of fame material.

When is a Break & Run NOT a break & run?

Well, if that's what the APA says I guess that settles it. ;)

    Aiming System

Yeah well, it's still early. Just wait. :grin-square: LMAO. ;)

    Aiming System

The idea of identifying the contact points on the two balls using parallel lines is nothing new. In fact it just came up in a recent thread. I'm not sure I really even consider it separate from the ghost ball system, more like ghost ball 102.

When is a Break & Run NOT a break & run?

How could he possibly have 7 break and runs when he didn't even break the first game? He had either 2 or 4 break and runs depending on if one considers the early nines to qualify. The two nine ball breaks to me are not a break and run in any event because there was no "run" component. He did...

Whats a good custom cue for 9 ball?

Wouldn't that actually mean a heavier cue should be better for everyone, small or big?

    Hurricane snooker/pool eye glasses

Your local optician may be able to order frames on approval but I doubt they can get samples with your specific RX just for you to try on. But it does seem plausible that if you show your eye doctor at least a picture of what you are talking about and explain why you need them they could...

    Ginacue Question

You mean he's not yet retired again. :grin-square: I was referring to his "first" retirement, before he came back into the business around '88.

    U.S Open Escrowed by Accu-Stats

To a point, lol. If you look at my previous post I'm still sweating the added money arriving. ;)

    U.S Open Escrowed by Accu-Stats

I see what you're saying Johnny but there is one important difference - if BB is short it sounds like it will be disclosed before the event starts rather than during/after the event.

Is it the rack, or the game?

Assuming the magic rack gives the theoretical perfect rack, then yes, there is an inherent flaw in the diamond formation in that the wing ball is by default wired when the one is racked on the spot, and the one ball in the side can be dialed in when the 9 is racked on the foot spot. Now, I'm...

    U.S Open Escrowed by Accu-Stats

Kudos to Pat for sure but from the way I read that link it seems the WPA stepped up also and made this arrangement a condition of sanctioning. That's a nice development as well. Now we just have to sweat the added money.

    Distributing league session prize money?

The way my team has always done it is first everyone gets their money back. So if you played 10 weeks of the season you get $100 back (10x$10), if you played 8 weeks you'd get $80, and so on. What's left is split evenly. I suppose we could also prorate the excess funds based on number of...

    Ginacue Question

I don't believe Ernie signed many (if any) cues prior to his retirement. I am the original owner of one of his first 100 cues and it is not signed. I also have two that were made since he came back and they are both signed (purchased around 2009).

If you ever catch me wearing a pool glove...

I don't care to wear a glove either but it sure must be a blessing for those with sweaty hands. And it sure beats having my opponent spread talcum all over the bed cloth and rails.

Don't know about VNEA but under BCAPL rules the table is definitely open:

It may have been distorted due to the old film but that shaft looked like 16-17mm.

For some reason I've never been able to warm up to floating points.

    question about apa masters

I think it probably simply reflects why most people play in leagues: fun, enjoyment, and a few drinks on an evening out as opposed to stiff competition. That plus the fact there are relatively few league players that can compete on that level.
