Justifiable deviation from computational restrictive linear dispersion (Aiming)

At least 30% of my misses are poor concentration/focus. Another 40-50% is not holding my head at the right angle, so the curve of the lenses of my glasses distorts my aim (I have terrible eyes). I'm an APA 7-9 but with my head slightly up or down and I'm an APA 4 lol. I would say maybe 10% of my...

    WTB quality box case

Like the title says, looking for a box case. Ideally finished wood but I like the leather covered ones too, old and worn is ok, preferably 1x2 with storage, quality and solid latches and handle. Nice safe interior, it will house my favorite cue! Willing to spend up to 100ish for the right case...

    FS: Stipped Ebony BCM Cue

Brian, this is a really stunning, classy cue. I can imagine that wood is incredible in person. I reeeaaaalllyyy love the way those great rings contrast... What is your asking price with a second shaft included? I don't suppose you would be interested in doing a trade?

What size tables should you have in a new pool room

Unfortunately, I think bar boxes are the future. At 24, I am by far the youngest guy I've seen at any local room with 9'... my generation is under the impression that bar tables are full size lol. I like 9'... but for business purposes I would go with eight 7', six 9', a billiard table, and a...

Can someone explain why Earl used to just take one look and fire the ball in?

I miss less balls when I play Earl's speed. I feel that my instinct is more accurate than my aim, especially when determining spin-speed-squirt on long shots. Maybe Earl is the same way. Tony Drago shoots very fast as well.

    check out this F'n shot!!!!

I bet any one of you could stroke that (the follow shot)... am I missing something? High outside english and firm. As long as the cloth is not terribly slow, you should have no problems. I can do it pretty easily on a Valley bar box with old cloth and I'm not a really great player (APA 7-8...

What causes this - calling Bob Jewett, et al.

Clenglish lol. I have a few on the rail or close banks where I overcut them with a little inside and the OB kisses the CB off the rail and goes long. Looks like they grab each other for a second. Very thin cuts with OB just off a cushion and inside spin can have a similar effect. But skids are...

    2/4 instroke forsale

Lovin' this case man. I should have waited another few days before buying a new Elite last Monday. Been lurking the forum for a month waiting for a case like this in this $ range. I like that it's worn and rough around the edges; gives it character. Good price for a tooled instroke... GLWS!

To contribute to the ferrule material deflection argument...

I've never had an ivory ferruled shaft and wanted to try it. I have extra shafts so it is not a big deal.

To contribute to the ferrule material deflection argument...

I like it more than a saber-t ferrule I have on another shaft... some people swear by them, but I swear they weigh 40 pounds! I have a shaft with a juma ferrule which I really like... chalk resistant too.

To contribute to the ferrule material deflection argument...

Agree completely! I love the sound of this ferrule and the fact that chalk rubs right off is great. The feel is good and though I'm getting used to the deflection, overall it's not for me. Just wanted to post my experience for anyone out there debating over ferrules.

To contribute to the ferrule material deflection argument...

Recently chipped a ferrule (my fault) and had an ivory one installed in it's place. I am now getting a VERY noticeably higher amount of deflection. Not sure of the other ferrule material (LBM maybe?) so I don't know what I'm comparing it to... what I do know is the CB is squirting an extra 2...

    Best tip for using english

I'm always trying new tips to find one that grabs like a soft tip but holds shape like a harder tip. So far I like the Kamui Mediums and Talisman Mediums. Whatever comes stock on Pechauers feels nice too (everest? emerald? maybe). I used to play with an 11mm and the only tip I could find that...

    pechauer shaft..quick release..ivory ferrule

***Edit- nevermind, you said in your post it is an original from Pechauer. The ivory ferulle threw me off.*** Is this a Pechauer shaft or a universal shaft to fit a Pechauer? I ask because (from my experience) Pechauer's shafts are very heavy and I like that. Mine was just under 5 oz and very...
