I like piloted steel jointed cues, but for two reasons that don't have anything to do with "hit." I like the classic look. I also like the chunk of weight in the middle of the cue.

For sure, you need to work on it and its much harder than simply taking ball in hand. But it can be done with a little time and attention. I think I had the same shot on the 1 in the lower corner like 90%+ of the time in that video and I'm nothing special.

Since you don't need to pocket a ball on the break to win against "Pro Ghost", beating it gets "easier" if you can get the balls apart and reasonably consistent shape on the 1 without worrying about pocketing anything.
