Journey to join the Pro tournaments ?

What's your skill level? You can get to the point of not being dead money in a tournament relatively quickly. But going "pro" isn't as easy as playing in a pro tournament. You can just fund your way into any tournament, but what's the point if you are 2 and out every time? Get up to ~600...

This Layout Took Me Three Tries

Agreed. I set this up and ran it on the first try. On the table, the 1 rail shot to the 3 is really the only option. Shooting the 2-railer is just asking for trouble because the shot line is way thinner than the diagram shows. The rest of the shots are pretty straight forward (and I disagree...

Pinky on or off during stroke.

Don’t forget to also focus on the chalk you use, the number of layers your tip has, the type of shaft you use and where you put your left foot. It get’s harder to get better, the better you want to be.

Pinky on or off during stroke.

Humans don't have problems holding sticks. That said, it's interesting to see that many (most?) top pros have their pinky ON. Perhaps that is really the key data point. One size doesn't fit all, but to be a top player, you might have to adopt the ON technique. For example: watching the UK...

    Houston.

I think it's something like: Roberto Gomez [790] Alex Calderon [752] / Tommy Tokoph [736] Blaine Barcus [716] / Ernesto Bayaua [713] / Raymond Linares [707] / Eylul Kibaroglu [693] Then there are a bunch of 650-ish players. Big Tyme and Bogies up north are likely spots. -td

quick question for you all about draw shots

Your can definitely improve draw by practicing stop shots from 3-4 diamonds away. This will allow you to analyze your stroke mechanics at a slower speed. Eventually increase the stop distance a diamond or two more. This will be the same stroke to get decent draw when the cue ball is only 1...

    Filler beats Shane 9-0

Filler has been shooting pretty good all week. He has 4 -> 9-0 matches. 2 -> 9-1 matches. And 3 9->2 matches. So 9 of his 14 matches gave up 8 games total… -td

    Filler beats Shane 9-0

I watched the stream and it was about as good a set as you could shoot. 30 minutes total. Filler was in dead stroke and his break was perfect. Made the wing ball and shape on the one in the top corner every time. It was pretty amazing. His 7-pack on the TV table was impressive. -td

    First Problem With Pirate Shipping

Yeah. Sucks. But PirateShip isn't the issue. They just pass along whatever the carrier decides to do. I've had something like this happen for international shipments. It sucks to get a "SURPRISE! You owe us money" email. [Well, actually, "we took some more money!"] -td

    832

I think what you said is precisely the point of a high run challenge: it removes the person in the other chair so the shooter can go 100% offense. It is not a tournament by design. Comparing it to a tournament, while somewhat interesting, is apples/oranges. Either way, Jason is a beast and...

iPhone bracket to attach to table light

What light were you targeting? I think you could 3D print a bracket to use a standard iphone mount. Shouldn't be too difficult but might not be universal for all tables.

    TAOM V10 BLUE

I have been using different Taom chalks for a few years. Pyro, V10 green and now V10 blue. I got V10 blue right at 2 months ago. My conclusion is that V10 blue is not my favorite chalk by Taom. I also agree that it appears to miscue more than other Taom chalks. I'm actually a little...
