How many cues do you own..?

Boys & girls... ...while eagerly wanting for my new Parris to arrive, last night I spoke with my mom who again asked "How many cues do you actually need..?!" So I was wondering the same, how many cues do people here "need"..? -- peer

Who here has and plays with a custom cue.

My main cue is a custom Longoni. I also have a custom John Parris on its way. And then, of course, I have that ratty vintage Brunswick that Ryan Theewen (ratcues) modified so it'll take uni-loc shafts -- that's kind of custom too, right? ;^) -- peer

    Ratty Brunswick revival...

Just in case someone missed it -- a while back I got hold of a ratty vintage Brunswick for basically no nothing (a gift). The cue had some serious water damage, warped shaft, cracked aluminum joint, and hidden underneath its yellowing varnish & grime was the distinctive Brunswick logo... barely...

shot two great nine ball games today

I'm in tears! What would life be without the Travis Trotters -- I guess a bit less entertaining. -- peer Here's an example of Trotter's articulate poetry: the shots i practice are the basic shots like the spot shots and bank shots rail shots any type of a shot that comes up in a game of...

    shaft cleaner

Sensation wrote: > How slick is tung oil? What the purpose of it on a cue shaft? Well, I'm not the only one who uses tung oil -- this I got from Ted Kaufman: I can't believe I still hear of people who recommend sanding a shaft as a means of regular maintenence. And for god's sake, if you...

What's your safety play on this shot?

Oh jeez -- as far as I can see, this 5-rail "safety" shot is more a fluke thing than I would ever go for. When I'm playing, I try to remember what my instructor told me as a kid, "simpler is better", hence, the fewer rails the better... and just look at how close this 5-rail shot gets to double...

    shaft cleaner

I use Amorall cleaner (not polisher), then a couple of strokes with steel-wool, and the I apply tung-oil... and then I buff, buff, buff. Voila -- there's the slickest long-lasting & clean looking shaft you'll see. -- peer
