Shot Question: Cue on rail,,, OB downtable.

Two comments about this shot: 1) Practice this shot 10-20x, 3x/week until it's comfortable. 2) Because of the precision required, look at the CB last. Hitting this high on the CB allows a very small margin for error. -s

Whats your definition of a ERO (Eightball Run Out)

FWIW, 'ERO' stands for 'early run out'. The VNEA league rules define it as stated earlier in the thread. 1) First turn at table 2) All 15 balls on table. I don't know if other leagues use this term, but that's how VNEA defines it. -s

    Gambling Ettiquette

Around here it's rare to break someone anymore. They always pull up, like they had a budget on how much to lose. Plus, too common to see guys go 'broke' and are out playing someone else or drinking elsewhere. Times have changed for sure. -s

OMGWTF gets stiffed in money game...

I've stayed silent to avoid affecting the outcome. All I did was re-estimate the over/under at 37 once Asia chimed in. seems inevitable now :) -s

World 8 ball - Raj H runs out a set, Mika runs out 15 racks in a row!

Just wondered if anyone else had seen this. More interesting then CTE... The last 7 of Mika's run were against defending champ Karl Boyes. -s

    Bumping Etiquette Question...

Most civil folks agree more than 1/day is excessive. Some users I have noticed bumping (or "adding information") up to 7x/day. These (L)users have been added to my ignore list. -s

    Same Shot Different Side Problem

Focus on not leaving yourself straight in, instead of bothering us with these threads. All you do is ***** about this shot and that shot, start leaving yourself easier shots. Pattern play and good angles are what make runouts. Yes, I'm being a little mean, but you never listen. -s

My aiming system: the Waterboy system.

I've been reading aiming threads for some time now. It got me to thinking, 'how DO i aim?' Now I've read and understand all the methods, but don't use them. Instead, I've got my 'waterboy' system (thanks, henry winkler's character). Step 1: Visualize. Step 2: Attack. I know it's time to...

    Best Rack

Something to think about: your current rack has three angles, all of which can be used two ways (i.e. flip the rack over). This gives you six possible orientations to rack with. If you try all six you can usually get a tight rack from one. Then mark the rack so you remember which one! If...

    Jump cues

I beg to differ. The issue of the 'jump cue' is one of validity. It's not about whether the player should choose to jump in the situation, it's about whether the jump cue should be allowed at all. Sure, everyone's gotten used to seeing these little short cues everywhere, but that was not...

    Jump cues

I jump pretty well, and will keep the jumper in my case as long as they're allowed. That having been said, I wish they'd outlaw them :) I get tired of seeing people waste time getting out their jump cue just to miscue, foul, jump the balls off the table, etc. I spent a lot of time learning...
