    EBAY CUE ID

Here was his response to me. I think he is a sandwich shy of a picnic myself.

User emailing me for a cue ID

Brunswick had some cues in the 70’s with those points. I’m going to say Taiwan too, though I’ve never seen a wrapless cue with points like that from the 70’s. It’s possible the cue was restored and had a nice handle installed at that time.

    Meucci original model ID

I just found this and it needs a fair amount of love, but it looks like you should look amazing when cleaned up. Any idea on the mode number?

    How do Runde cues play?

The main difference between old Runde era Schon cues(pre-93) and Bob Runde cues(95-present), is that the old Schons are not cored, where Bob’s cues are. I’ve tried maybe a dozen of Bob’s cues over the years and they each have their own feel.

    What Recourse Do I have?

I once paid with Western Union for a cue out of state. I called the guy before any money was sent and made an assessment of the scenario based on how the conversation went. Actually I’ve done it twice. I realized when I was sending them money, it was a gamble. Both times were just under...

Took The Old McDermott Out For A Stroll Today

I can’t recall off the top of my head, but I’ve had a few D’s and I still have this C. I think C’s and D’s play and feel excellent, though I generally prefer the inlay design of the D’s. I generally really good at recalling how much and where I have bought cues over the years, but for the life...

    cue id please

Appears to be a Brunswick cue with a personalized nameplate. Nothing about that cue says Herman Rambow.

    The perfect break cue

Spare shaft with a hard tip is good enough. No need for a designated break cue.

    Cue Maker?

The pilots look like they thread on the outside too, which reminds me of a Viking super joint.

Which would you be most likely to buy?

Depends on price and playability. I have a C series McD, a Falcon made Brunswick, a Wico pointed Viking and I’ve had a Jackson PJ. They all are great players. It would be hard to choose based on pics alone.

Willie Hoppe by Adam? Help with Identification...

http://www.billiardsforum.com/pool-cue-value/value-a-1970-brunswick-willie-hoppe-cue-made-by-adam I had one. The points on the one I sold reminded me of Adam points. Yours looks like Schmelke points.

Any ideas on the age and make of this double butterfly conversion?

Yes I did. Unfortunately the shaft is super short, but the butt is just under 29” including the tapered ivory joint.

Any ideas on the age and make of this double butterfly conversion?

I found this today at a thrift shop. I sure wish someone had not tapered the ivory joint, but such is life.

    Can this be converted/rescued?

I bought it. My initial guesstimate was off. It is just shy of 29” including the funky tapered ivory joint. It is .081 at the base of the joint.

    Can this be converted/rescued?

I found this at a thrift store when visiting my folks. The butt is around 20 or so inches.

Can someone help me identify this cue please? Thanks.

It’s a dove cue, which may or may not be a Steve Mizerak, it depends on if his name is on the forearm.

best cue you ever had or still have ???

My favorite playing cue was a Lil Romero sneaky that I stupidly sold a number of years back. Luckily I picked up a Bert Schrager last year that plays just as good. They both play/ed like a phenomenal 70’s Tad that a buddy owned. I guess I’m just a sucker for maple plain Jane’s with big pins.
