I would imagine that the average skill level of someone who frequents this forum is much higher than just a random smattering of APA players. People who play this game well live the game. Its pool on the brain all the time, on and off the table. Additionally, most 9s quit due to the 23 rule...

9 here. Quitting the APA this session due to the 23 rule. Like someone else mentioned, watching 2's smash balls around the rails for hours at a time is a miserable experience.

I dont think people are arguing that there are no 9s that play open/pro speed. There certainly are. There was a dude in regionals in Orlando who smoked a 7 75-3 in 3 innings. There are 9s that can play. That being said, take the worst 9 in your area, and Id be willing to bet that person is not...
