Looking for a solid American cue

New cue from @CGiuli arrived when I was home for lunch - it is stunning! Having the table re-leveled, new cushions and cloth next week, so a full workout will have to wait a few days but feels perfect.

Mosconi Cup 2025, Dec. 3-6, Alexandra Palace, London

Yep, my approval was very shortly after I submitted. My wife took much longer - the approval was fast, but she had some challenges with the photo process for some reason, lol - "Just go away, I'll figure it out!"

    Champion/Pro or Shortstop/Amateur/Banger. It's your choice.

Bleak under the bridge, I'm a genius, ask me. Why won't they listen?

    Big names missing from DCC

Yeah, they say "max 500" but also 526 entries, so who knows what's up with that.

    Big names missing from DCC

Isn't the list showing people who have registered and paid? Maybe many of the above are "in" but just haven't paid yet and have until "x" date to pay the fee? Just a guess.

    Big names missing from DCC

Looks like many of the same and really good usual suspects - I'm getting a chuckle out of some of the guys that apparently want their nickname as part of the official entry but not in a bad way, lol. Still, if you have to tell them your nickname . . . but maybe it's a thing and more power to 'em!

Looking for a solid American cue

Only posting this for the benefit of those who may look in out of curiosity and be thinking of a different price point. I have Schmelkes in my rack (a couple custom) and a wonderful cue that Pat Diveney crafted for me a few years ago. Two different classes of expense, and less than you are...

    World Snooker Championships 2020

The semi was amazing and I caught most of the final and thoroughly enjoyed it. Wilson just seemed a little off and I'm sure the semifinal took a lot out of him, but O'Sullivan played extremely well, IMO, and I'm sure experience and a waistcoat full of talent had a lot to do with it. Really...

    Ronnie O'sullivan green stuff "chalk"

After watching the final 8 games of his semifinal today I'm channeling When Harry Met Sally - "I'll have what he's having!" Incredible.

Of all celebrities that played pool characters in movies

You started the thread and posted that and didn't mention Jackie Geason? He could act and play.

    The World Snooker Championship 2020

Watched the action today on DAZN - O'Sullivan seemed to go from carefree or careless to on fire - brilliant towards the end, fascinating to watch.

Forum for Building a Pool Table?

I'd say just get one and start playing, but I firmly believe people should do what they want. From experience, underestimating individual carpentry skills is something to be very cautious of on any DIY project. If you have those, and the proper tools/equipment you can do about anything (I...
