Pro pool without a shot clock

My stroke is not automatic yet, part of my whole shot routine is to do all of my thinking BEFORE I get down to take the shot, by thinking "this shot is easy" I guess I subconsciously had already moved on to the next shot, oops.....

Pro pool without a shot clock

After the break, 2 minute clock, 40 second shot clock after that and 2 extensions of 20 seconds

Pro pool without a shot clock

I can accept the cueball being kicked into the pocket breaking a cluster, or something like that but it's carelessness that caused that miss, it means I didn't follow my whole shot routine, shame on me.

    Predator Fanboys

No reason to chase the latest "technology" if you love what you have, I played like straight garbage last night and lost evey match, I didn't follow my whole shot routine like I should've, I thought this shot is easy too many times and the team we played is full of players who take the game...

Pro pool without a shot clock

I will never even think "easy shot" ever again after last night, damn near straight in, BIH, and rattled it in the pocket, lost the game, I was pissed at myself, I now think makeable shot, even highly makeable shot, when I think easy I don't believe there is any way I can miss.....until I...

    How to Own a Poolhall?

Those things are impressive, it sounds like that room has a great following, do you think you would be able to take some of his clientele? Will those leagues let you run them that close to another league operator? Get your ducks in a row before losing any bucks or dough.....

    How to Own a Poolhall?

Unfortunately, probably not, do some quick math, how many tables would you need being used just to pay rent/mortgage ? Start there, most successful halls are in/near bigger cities where there is more opportunity for clientele.

straightline: "Can you provide the logic behind this?"

You are lucky to have a resource like AZ Billiards, there are many posters like Bob Jewett and Dr Dave billiards who have dedicated a lifetime to the sport, Pro players on tour don't have the time to come here and give advice for free, being a Pro player is a grind just like in any other sport...

First problem with a Bulletproof Recoil tip?

I'm using the hard tip so no mushrooming at all, I was using hard layered leather tips before using the Bulletproof Recoil tip, a Tippik is not a good tool for that kind of tip in my opinion so I was hesitant to use one on the Recoil tip, after shaping my tip to a proper nickel radius I figured...

First problem with a Bulletproof Recoil tip?

I was practicing a couple of days ago and noticed I could not cue as low as I thought I should be able to, I pulled out the old training ball and sure enough, I could not even get close to the accepted limit on the cueball, was it the tip? It sure was.... but it wasn't the tips fault, it was the...

Dominant Eye before any aiming system

Because a couple of millimeters at the cueball can mean a 1/4" at the object ball which means you probably missed your shot and you don't understand why you missed it, you think you are doing everything right and you may be doing so, the problem is your cue is not traveling in the path you...

Dominant Eye before any aiming system

It could be but my first experience was to put the shaft directly under my dominant eye, my instructor said you draw the cue ball pretty well, he had me attempt to draw the cueball straight back from one side pocket into the other, every time I did the cue ball went to the right, he said your...

Dominant Eye before any aiming system

That was my experience as well, I started just shooting with my dominant eye over my cue and it was a huge improvement but after a lesson with PBIA billiards instructor Kim Young at Dragon Billiards he fine tuned my vision center, mine is about 1/4" from my nose in the corner of my right eye...

    Dominant eye?

If you learn how YOUR brain perceives what your eye sees you can use it to your advantage, it was the biggest advance in my game and I would never discovered on my own.

    Dominant eye?

John Morra was a champion level player who was left eye dominant but used to shoot right handed, it caused neck pain to the point that he had to quit the game, he spent a couple of years learning to play left handed and is back playing tournaments again, pretty amazing

    Sneak-Peek, Half-CaF Shaft

Looks good, I use Becue cues, they are CF butt and shaft, I would love to hit one Just to see what it feels like, I believe players who like wood but like the benefits of CF would have interest in these.

Dynaspheres Tungsten 572 Pool Ball Set

I really could care less what color any ball set is, I don't think the color of the balls makes you miss....hey, I didn't think of that....the color of the balls is making me miss 😁😁😁😁

How Important Is it to Own/Use a Break Cue

If you are only breaking at 15 to 18 mph I would argue that the better transfer of energy a CF shaft provides would help a weak break speed, I know this well....... my break speed sucks
