    Flying With Cue Cases?

Been going to Vegas over 25 years, I put my hard case in a duffel bag. Have never had an issue.

Quit drinking and my game has gone to shiiiiiiiiiit

You are doing things to you body it's not used to in the way of working out and not drinking. It will take some time would be my vote. When I stopped drinking a good while back, it took some time. The thought that enters my mind is not to over think things. When I used to drink a lot, I didn't...

Snooker with a 15-second shot clock

Snooker is actually great. They don't dump games to cut up backers or sponsors, and if they do and get caught, they get banned for life They call fouls on themselves when no one (not eve ref)sees it They don't shark and do all manner of things to distract their opponents They are courteous and...

Was well as mine. There are NONE.

    Just a recreational player

I bought a nice cue because I can afford it. You don't have to be a pro to have a nice cue, no more than you have to be a race car driver to own a Vette. If you can afford it, buy what you like, end of story.

    Champion prize $150,000USD

You cannot bet on pool here in the US as none of the casinos will do it since the first time they were going to allow betting on pool, the pros got together and tried to fix the match. Casino found out the fix was on, once again, the pros shit the bed.

Seriously, how lame has pool become?!

This pretty much sums it up for me here. Template racking and super fast cloth have changed the game completely. Back in the day you had to have a killer break and a big stroke to move the ball around. Now days that is not really required. Soft breaks and the like, bah, I'd rather watch paint dry.

The Little Things That Set Cues Apart

This is it pretty much for me. I will deal only with someone that is honest, and has integrity. If a cue maker makes a commitment, and doesn't follow thru, he will never get my business, no matter what the excuse may be. There are a lot of good cues out there, so in my view, a cue maker should...

How about going to an appropriate site, like a guns for sale site, and posting there. I'm a Sig/Springield guy myself.

Open Question: Does it matter to you if a manufacturer moves "US" product overseas?

I simply disagree. Have you ever worked in a union shop, or are you just saying what you have been spoon fed by others. Just because someone is in a union shop does not mean they are getting paid more than they are worth. It also does not mean they are strong arming anyone. I think you are...

    Your thoughts on 8-ball tactics

Worst thing you can do in 8 ball is clear 6 or more balls off the table, and fail to get out. If you are playing someone that can play decent, you will lose almost every time. If you can't get out, start looking for a good safety, safeties win games a lot of times, even when you are playing...

    Buddy was bored one summer

If he is smart, for the long haul, he will continue to play, and get a college education. He can then get a good paying job if pool won't earn him a living. If I had to do it all over again, I can assure you I would have a college education.

Do you think that most pool players are nice and cool with good attitudes, or not?

I have me some great folks playing pool, and I've met some Aholes. It's a mixed bag just like where I work. I pretty much stay away from the Aholes. In some instances it depends on what part of the country you are playing in as well. There are some areas where the people are just not very...

Advice you never thought would help

I have thought about taking some video recently. The video, she don't lie. :) I have had some experience with Randy G. and really enjoyed the experience. He actually had more than one suggestion for me. One was pause at the cue ball before coming with it, and two was my bridge was way too...

How much more accurate are the REVO shafts?

A friend of mine tried this shaft, and when I saw him the next time at the hall he didn't have it. When I asked about it, he said it was putting a lot more spin on the ball than his old maple shaft, that he sent it back. I did hit a few balls with it before he sent it back, and it did feel...

What's the deal about people saying pool is dying?

Personally I think you are on the right track. When PC games and console games came along, there were many things that went by the wayside, and pool just happened to be one of them. Back when I was growing up in Bedrock there were no computers, and you "dialed" a number on the rotary phone. Us...
