anyone play with a phenolic tip?

I like the feel of my BK2 shaft so much that I had a Kamui tip put on it for shooting. I wasn't impressed with it as a breaker because it didn't hard enough - I am guessing that the relatively thick carbon fiber pad is somewhat mushy, since phenolic isn't.

    Kamui black reviews?

I've been shooting with Kamui hard for a year and love them. Recently increased cue weight and changed to Kamui II MS and Kamui S (black) on two shafts, so I could finesse better. After one month of shooting practically everyday, I love the softer Kamui's more, but have determined that the...

Got stiffed by TX's top OB Tour woman.

The forum unanimously encouraged exposing the airbarreler, but Dragon has failed to divulge her name despite his promise to do so , given this circumstance. And several AZBr's promised red rep if he did not do so by last evening. So, Dragon, I hope the drama you stirred up is worth the...

Didn't you offer this cue with a Z2 originally?

Got stiffed by TX's top OB Tour woman.

I agree with the others, that you should post her name for all to see. When fellow players start looking down their nose at her, she will change her act - or disappear.

    Cored with Phenolic Rod

Joey and Sutton and any others whose toes I might have stepped on - I respect you all. Everyone takes a side in a debate occasionally - including me, and I certainly mean no permanent harm. I'm very proud to be an AZB'r, thanks for your indulgence.

My cue on ebay starting at $.01 with no reserve, please look

I am not interested in the cue, but wonder how can you accept a cash offer here if you have the item at auction on Ebay. Doesn't that mean the auction is a sham (unless someone bids $260 or more)? Thanks

    Cored with Phenolic Rod

Gee, Sutton, I have reread the first few pages of this thread and still am confused why you believe "the original arguement is phenolic doesnt have the same tone as wood". In fact I can't see where Manwon set out to argue anything - he was just sharing a technique of his. You and others, thru...

    Cored with Phenolic Rod

I have never seen such deceit as is forthcoming from some of these cuemakers. Sorry, all, if I appear mean-spirited, but I've seen alot of warped cues over the years, and thought Manwon's ideas had some merit. But as I followed this thread, I observed that a certain clique of AZB cuemakers...

Joey, where did Manwon say phenolic will increase the sound waves coming from the maple. Please point to the post, or are you confused or trying top mislead us?

Joey, where did Manwon say he believes that phenolic resonates as well as wood. Please point to the post, or are you trying to confuse things, or mislead us?

    Cored with Phenolic Rod

How do you figure that the original argument is phenolic doesn't have the same tone as wood? Perhaps you can point to the post which substantiates this statement. If not, I guess this is just one more example of your apparent confusion, or efforts to mislead the forum.

Sutton, I don't have a problem with reading comprehension. Apparently you do, and also with integrity since you continue to misrepresent things. Here is a quote from your post 74 . "Now you've become the guy that curses every 3 words because you can't put a legitimate thought together." Now...

    Cored with Phenolic Rod

qbilders #22 post is probably the lowest class post I've ever seen on AZB. This guy seems to have a major ego problem - claims he's been insulted by Manwon, but I can't see how. Then he launches the most insulting post ever. And he completely mischaracterizes Manwon's technique, implying that...

    Cored with Phenolic Rod

It sounds to me like Manwon's phenolic coring technique is mainly targeting a wooden cue's tendency to move. That certainly is a worthwhile pursuit - how many older cues no longer roll true - that is sad! It seems some cuemakers are attacking Manwon's ideas, but are arguing trivially and...
