    anyone remember shotgun break story?

A weak shell from a shotgun ipushes the lead over 1,000 ft. Per second which is roughly 700 mph so I imagine it is a tad quicker than 82 mph I think the barrel would foul and both the gun and the person pulling the trigger would suffer severe damage

Owner wants me to run his pool hall while hes on vaca

Not as long as the tables don't need to be brushed, the floor vacuumed, bathrooms cleaned, coolers restocked, food and beverage served and stuff like that :)

    12.75mm Vs 11.75mm Tip

+1 on that Much prefer a top cue maker's maple shaft that has survived the selection process over numerous taperings as opposed to a mass produced import glue up. Took me 7 years with predators before I came to my conclusion. Not saying that is what is best for anyone else, just best for me.

Youtube matches with the best commentary

I was in the back of the booth for that one, it was Rodney Morris and Shannon Daulton. There were pretty buzzed at the start and just gained momentum. One of the funniest commentaries I have ever heard.

What happened is that the Ref & Promoter didn't do their job

    dayton shaft

One of the best made... I have had them made for several of my cues. Both his standard as well as his old growth lake wood

    poolhalls and breweries

Coming back from a hunting trip in South Dakota I stopped for a week with my RV in Norman , OK just to break up the trip. There is a pool hall there that is ½ pool hall and ½ micro brewery..... I almost stayed there. IPA too good to be true and they sold it in jugs to take home! Did I...

    Shane wins Rumrunner again

Yeah Shane is manipulating the rack all right... he practices breaking more than anyone else. How unfair! He should be penalized.

    Leather wrap to linen wrap

I was of the same opinion at one point but tried to stick with leather and found that after getting used to the feel I liked it much better than linen. Maybe give it a few months and see what happens.

    Wrap: linen vs imitation leather?

Imitation leather? Why Linen, leather, wrap less is kind of like chocolate, vanilla and strawberry Buy which ever one you like... If one was demonstrably better than the other there would only be one

    Photo Question

No kidding.... hell, at $10 a pop you couldn't get 350 people on a world wide live stream let alone actually showing up and paying $10 at the door. and if you read the details, it was $35.00 for all 4 days 30 years ago

    CSI has me confused????

a funny side note... the British announcers refer to the golf tournament held in the US as the "US Open," however, when they refer to the one played there they just say "The Open" I guess it pays to be first (by several centuries) I like that kind of pride

    CSI has me confused????

Forget the titles.... To me, it just goes from being a tournament to an exhibition. Pretty much a TAR styled pay to play event with 16 players instead of 2

Jayson Shaw is looking for a tournament backer

You have a firm grasp on the obvious He also only made $500. That is the real issue! No money for player or backer You also have to eat the rest of the year, maybe have a place to live, a car, some clothes on your back...

    CSI has me confused????

Personally, I like the PGA model where the "eligibility" for tour events is based on being defined as a top player via monies earned, and, to give sponsors some jelly they are allowed sponsor exemptions if they want to invite someone to "their" event. The invitational as it is being described...

Question: Longevity of 3/8 - 10 steel pin into threaded wooden shaft

There is a cue maker out in the "Southwest" that has been using ⅜ x 10 into wood for a pretty long time without any real problem. Ditto with some Scottish sounding guy that makes cues pretty good, Mac-something if memory serves.

Looking for tubes to ship cues

FedEx will provide 36" triangle boxes for free to account holders. I used to ship my cue in an old cheap aluminum cue case but Laurie Franklin from Southwest convinced me to change to the FedEx box and some bubble wrap. No problems so far and much less expressive due to the free boxes and less...

    CSI Bar Table 9 Ball

Had to turn it off... I just couldn't listen to Scott Frost criticize the play of SVB & Dennis O any more.... Scott... They are world beaters... You are not in their league. Give us some commentary but don't go off like you can beat either of them on a regular basis at any game.
