    9 ball push rule question

I'd say at that point you'd have to stop and talk about the rules of the game. If he insists that it's okay to do that, I'd breakdown my cue and tell him game's over.

Please Help with this 2-Ball Pattern

Gatz, I think you just made a proposition bet that you might get a lot of action on. I personally don't think you could get out 50 out of 50 tries and I'm sure you could get many takers.

Scott Frost vs The So Called One Pocket Greats

Watchez, I'm sure in 25,30yrs there will be some young pool playing whippersnappers talking about how that old Efren guy was probably overrated and probably couldn't beat any of the contemporarys. The only problem is there are those of us who have been around to see today's and yesterday's...

Scott Frost vs The So Called One Pocket Greats

Watchez, the players you list you must not think played so well as to refer to them as "the so called great one pocket players"? Your premise is sooo condescending.

What is the most important thing you need to have in order to succeed?

I think focus and concentration are definately #1. Where does confidence come from? I've seen many players miss shots that they never should miss but it happens because of a distraction or lack of focus. That is what separates the top players from the rest of us. JMHO

A quick visit to One Side

He could be a good pool player if he didn't spend so much time boxing. Jay, what can Manny be thinking? There's soooo much money in pool!!

Can you overcut an object ball frozen to the rail?

What a difference one little "o" can change the meaning of a sentence.

One Pocket shot from over the weekend

That's one of my favorite trick bankshots and there is no foul involved. Jack up slightly and aim into the rail at about 11:00 with right hand english. Very nice shot.

Getting into a one-pocket frame of mind..

Joe, if you really love the game, do yourself a favor and stop by http://onepocket.org/ there are lots of good players with great insight to the game.

    Thank you Shannon and Efren

Efren and Shannon could sure make the game of one pocket look like a thing of beauty. There shot selection was amazing. Moving three and four or more balls away from their opponents pocket on one shot. I love seeing that stuff. Someone posted something awhile back about whether Efren was over...

Know any instructors in the Chicago area?

Tom Spencer has been known to give excellent lessons. You might try calling Chris's Billiards to find him. Anyone who knows Tom knows he's still an excellent player who runs 100's and jam up 9ball.

    How would you play this?

I'd play the 2 and try to get shape on the 1 not break it up.
