    Anybody want to play Alex….

I've never played APA or any other league or even a tournament that participated in a league. Having said that, yes, I did lay down from time to time when a potential fish was within my grasp. What I find funny is: A pro tells a story about how he laid down while using a fake name and people...

    Playing surface height?

I won't clean the balls, cloth or the rails on my home table if I'm gonna be playing in a public room. By doing that, im giving myself the best chance of playing well since ill be use to the conditions. as for table height.... well, same applies. If my table is at 30", but the public tables...

    Anybody want to play Alex….

I made a clever comment and wouldn't you know..... I didn't mean to.... lol. I can never be clever on purpose. Being clever on purpose is like trying to flake on/off on purpose.. In all seriousness, I've always thought my strongest attribute was my ability to lay down when needed, but be able...

Anyone else ever pull out an old cue, play great with it, and suddenly doubt which is your favorite?

Any of your cues are a favorite of everyone that has a pool cue brain. Not not so much because of who made them, but moreso because of their specs.... more specifically the shaft to butt weight ratio, the overall balance and the butt diameter and lastly the joint type. Those are deal breakers...

Anyone else ever pull out an old cue, play great with it, and suddenly doubt which is your favorite?

Most of the time a cue change doesn't help... matter of fact it will normally hurt until an adjustment is made. Having said that, I do change to a cue that is butt heavy when health problems cause my stroke arm to shake moreso than usual. I prefer a cue in the 18.25 oz to 18.5 oz that is...

Anyone else ever pull out an old cue, play great with it, and suddenly doubt which is your favorite?

I know it may sound crazy, but I've known people that would change their shoes to help them pull out of a slump. I should know, I'm one of them. I carry several pair of shoes when I go to a room and have went to my car and changed shoes many times. BTW, I started carrying extra shoes due to...

Is there a good action type thread for buyers / sellers?

If not, there should be. I'm currently looking at cues and have viewed a few on here that really caught my eye, but I didn't know them. Is there a thread where a person can see if a seller or buyer has a proven track record with references by way of a known member? Thanks

    Anybody want to play Alex….

I wish I was 51 again....I remember vaguely. All I can say is if you keep that offer up eventually the right person will bite. The one thing that may stop 99.9% of the one hand winders is the 4.25" pockets..... Even the best of the best would probably walk away from a tight table. Oh man...

    Anybody want to play Alex….

I donated a good amount until I learned that same thing. Unfortunately, it took me longer than most.

    Anybody want to play Alex….

There was a time that I said the same thing. Well, long story short..... I was relieved of $8,000 in cash and the South West cue I was playing with. I had just bought the SW cue. I gave $1,600 for it. It was a 6 point ebony into maple... That was a long time ago. That cue would be worth...

    9' Diamond Pro-Am

***The table itself is top tier. ***The table's history is of the highest tier. ***But...Its priced like it is just another Diamond table. It's mind boggling that your table has not sold to a local buyer. Seriously folks, if you are local to that table, what are you waiting on? I can...

    New pechauer cue

Going from a gcore McDermott to the Rogue usually takes folks a little bit, but some transition faster than others. I'm glad you're having no trouble with it. I went from plain maple to a revo and it took me 6 months to get back to running two balls in a row with bih. Before I adjusted I could...

    New pechauer cue

Is your pech cue a JP version or Pro version? Which Rogue did you choose? Did your McDermott cue have an ld shaft or plain maple shaft? I own a JP version and it's a great playing cue. It's one of the cheaper JP cues. It's a red stained maple merry widow with black/white speckled linen wrap...

Sorry Fatboy.... the orange 5 is not coming back!

I know it's been stated many times, but since matchroom clearly doesn't know.... here goes again: With HD we don't need special color anything as spectators. They people at the table are what matters and if they play shape on the purple ball thinking it's the 4..... well, that's a problem. Go...

Sorry Fatboy.... the orange 5 is not coming back!

Matchroom in general sucks, but she takes the cake. They are gonna be the death of pro pool as we once knew it.

Darren Appleton Video: "Banned! My Story"

To add to your comment: IMO, the better the player..... the more emotional they are. For example, Mike Sigal, Earl Strickland, Mike Dechaine, Jason Shaw, John Schmidt etc... Heck, Willie Mosconi was one of the most emotional pool players to ever pick a cue up. If we take all the emotional...
