I measured mine and it was 2.4 inches.

The Rigid router will not fit in the mount that Dano makes for cutting rings. Todd makes a mount that fits around the Rigid that bolts on to his mount that Works with the pc router. The Rigid has to have a body holding clamp where as the rigid has the side bolt.

If you want your grooves to look nice and clean turn your toolpost on an angle and cut your grooves with your cutter. Once the ferrule is glued on it really will not matter what the grooves looked like.

Spend the extra money upfront and get the big bore headstock, You will be glad you did in the long run.

This is a very nice mount for cutting rings. I bought this mount a few years back when there was a CNC Company that use to make them but they stopped making them over a year ago. Anyone that gets this mount will not be disappointed.
