I have tried a Revo shaft with a synthetic break tip and in my opinion the shaft need some sort of dampening to it before it would replace the current maple based break shafts. The revo breaks great with a leather tip though. I liked it a lot but I would think that Predator aims for an all out...

Tips are a very personal matter. What suits one perfectly might not work at all for the next guy. I like pretty firm, hard tips so I play with Zan grip hard, Kamikaze hard or milkduds. Everest is one of the worst tips I have had, always cut them off straight away these days if a new shaft comes...
