Deflection is affected by a number of factors in a shaft. My old Bender shaft had a more stiff taper and shorter ferrule. Hence the low deflection. But the shaft was standard rock maple. Southwest I can only imagine having a similar focus on the stuff hit. I could be wrong but so would...
