It’s time to shame chalk grinders

I’m just being silly. It’s not that big a deal but it’d be nice that’s all I’m saying. I’m new to this forum, but the taking a stance on the chalk thing has gotten more responses than every other post I have made combined. 😂 Btw do you think I could make money selling custom chalk coasters...

It’s time to shame chalk grinders

Well it sounds like you’re really mad. You can write a message on the cloth in chalk that says call me when you’re ready to play pool. They’ll see it when they get back from the call. I kind of space out and think about things like that while I’m upset. Then someone has to tell me it’s my...

It’s time to shame chalk grinders

If you use the same piece for of chalk as the other player you will notice when you grab it. It’s impossible not to.

    Legal Hack.

Honestly I remember those Bob Byrnes instructional videos. I used to watch them over and as a teen and pre teen. I was kind of a pool fanatic. I think he mentioned something about pool “etiquette.” I think he did at least. Anyways it always stuck with me. It double irks me if they slam it face...

I like baby powder. When the table looks like a gymnast was doing a floor routine in it then it’s a problem.

    US Open-The Other Way Around

Maybe pool rooms should have some good tables and minority of “pro” tables in the corner where people can try their luck or find a little action.

    Silver Cup................

I got a new opinion of silver cup. I just recently spent several practice sessions using a house cue with what appeared to be a le pro and masters chalk. As I’ve always been a silver cup guy I looked at the masters with fresh eyes. It’s smother and goes on easier. If you have poor tip...

Which production cue with 5/16x14 pin looks like this?

I thought I was so cool recognizing that cue. Turns out I was the one didn’t know about the site being down. Thanks for letting me know ahead of time Mustardeer. Jk. Well when the site goes back up that’s what it is. Hope you find something you like. I’m a sucker for reverse sneaky petes my self.

    BHE and FHE English

I just moved from practining on a 7 foot diamond to spending some time on a 9 footer. It’s humbling but I took the opportunity to start working on BHE. Yeah actually helped me out with the extra accuracy that I need. Not as complicated as I thought it would be.

    What is your HIGH RUN?

In 8ball a 5 pack but it had two safety’s that brought me back to the table. 9 ball 2 or 3 racks I think did that several times. When I first started to practice a lot, 5 racks of seven ball after 6 months of practice. 34 in straight pool. I was playing a lot of pool at this time but only...

Question about chalk and hard tip

I used to use a hard laminate tips. I always have the habit of wiping off extra chalk at the end of a practice session. Then I lightly sand the whole tip till I see just leather with a piece of 320 to 400 grit sand paper. This way I get no chalk in my case and I always know that I am playing...

A good break cue that isn't too thick?

Have you considered modifying the cue rack? Maybe a rasp followed sand paper and some clear coat after. I’m not a wood worker but just an idea. Also maybe manufacturers will give you the specs so you don’t have to guess.

Anyone ever own a good decal cue?

I remember playing with a griffin cue that looked really fancy about 20 years ago. This is when I was playing eight hours a day. I was the best player in the place back then so everyone thought I had a high dollar cue. They didn’t now it was $60 bucks, overlays, and Chinese import. I remember...

Convert “regular “ cue to break cue?

I actually am looking for a regular old cuetec for this exact purpose. People have hated on cuetec fiberglass cues forever, but those same people often say it’s one of the best dang break cues ever made just not for playing. I wanted to sand the butt down and paint it Matt black. Then swap the...
