    ridgeback rails versus other rails

Ridgebacks are the best rails I have installed, or played with on a valley, Dynamo, Global, or Murrey table. They play the most consistent and the craftsmanship and quality is top notch. Here is an older thread about them. https://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=181014 As far as the...

    Soft tips hardening quickly

Maybe not the issue, but how long have you had the tips before installing them? Leather like any organic material can dry out and become very hard over time, I have a customer who specifically requests that I not burnish the tips for him so he can apply a leather conditioner and then burnish...

anyone know this person making new rails for brunswick tables?

One hell of a beautiful job. I would be willing to bet there are plenty of guys who would pay to come work at your shop and help you get caught up just to learn from you!!! Seriously unbelievable craftsmanship! I can see with absolute certainty that you take great pride in your work!

    Brunswick Bar Box questions !

I cant comment on the build quality or likeness to a Valley as the only Brunswick bar box I have worked on was their metro series. As far as Ridgeback rails go, call Kerry, I know he will usually make custom sets of rails, but IIRC they cost a little bit more than his off the shelf Valley and...

Diamond 9 foot pool table, 1 piece or 3 piece slate?

A 3piece slate is meant to emulate a one piece slate when installed correctly, the key however is being installed correctly, which honestly is the same for pretty much any quality table.

    Tiger Emerald Tips

I install them quite frequently, actually more than any other tip I stock. Everyone of my customers that I have talked with after the fact loved them. The reviews all over the web are fantastic. As far as the other post about miscuing with them so much they had to take it off, I have never...

    Olhausen Rail Recommendations

Are you talking about indentations in the cushion? If so sounds like your installer screwed up and over stretched your rail cloth.

Old global pool table locks - key needed

At five to six dollars a lock that is the cheapest way, Pull the trim from the sides, unbolt the rails, lift the slate up, replace the locks, reverse the procedure. Takes 15 to half an hour max.

Hightower Deluxe with much much more.

Just with whats shown in the pics this is a good value to anyone looking to get into repair/building. Throw in the tips, ferrules and misc other items that the seller has and you would be getting a steal of a deal. Kind makes me wish I wasn't stuck in Hellifornia!!

    WTB- lathe carriage assy.

Why not just buy a new one directly from Todd at MidAmerica? Chris Hightower can supply it as well, and Im pretty sure any place that carries Taig parts.

    Viking vs Mcdermott

Thats a load of crap and I would steer clear of the online retailer you purchased your cues from. Lucasi makes a very good cue at the price point. I have owned several over the years and never had an issue with any of them. On top of that Lucasi cues are distributed by Cue & Case in St...

    Anyone ever seen this happen?

Just a follow up. So I called Cue & Case who is the US distributor for players cues as well as the warranty and service center for them. I explained the situation and they asked me to write a little note explaining what happened, and put it in a box along with the cue, and the receipt and ship...

Nope everyone was safe from the shrapnel...Well everyone but the wall to the side of the table.

    How do you explain this

Your post is not helpful and has absolutely no merit what so ever. There are plenty of fantastic reviews on this cue as well as the brand in general.

    How do you explain this

No I dont bend my cue, I stroke through the cue ball and rarely if ever does the tip of my cue make contact with the table.

    How do you explain this

So I have had this break/jump cue for almost exactly two years. I don't abuse my cues, IE: I never leave them in a car, never store them laying down, never lean them up against stuff, never bang them into the table or any other object. When I am out playing they are always kept in a Porper cue...

    Anyone ever seen this happen?

Playing last night, pull out my Players HXTP01, take the break, and this happened as soon as I made contact with the cue ball.

    CNC's for cuemakers

I run a Centroid Acorn on a CNC lathe conversion. Personally I think the Acorn paired with DMM Tech servos and drives is unbeatable. More importantly how ever I think that the Centroid CNC software is hands down better than either iteration of Mach. The user interface in my opinion is simple...

    3 vs 1 piece slate

Glen your absolutely right about Diamond tables being fully adjustable and able to be properly leveled, it does not matter if its their one or three piece slate. I was speaking in general terms of most of the one piece slate tables out there. I apologize for not being more clear on the matter.
