Thanks! I knew what the shaft looked like before I bought the cue, but I couldn't pass up the deal. I'm primarily hoping for confirmation one way of the other. My other Dieckman has matching joint collars and no ferrule. That, plus the brass ferrule. My other Dieckman cue has no ferrule.

Good point. But if this shaft isn't original either, then I'd prefer to have a matching non-original shaft vs a non-matching non-original shaft.

I just added a beautiful Dennis Dieckman cue to my collection, and I'm curious about the shaft. It doesn't match the butt, so I'm thinking it's not original. Assuming it's not, who would you recommend to make a matching shaft for me? UPDATE: Andy Vandervoord has agreed to make a new shaft...

My primary goal is to regain my prior form after not playing seriously for a long time, and then continue to improve. I'll certainly be playing with friends, but I expect to spend most of my time on drills.

I bought the cue from Recollection Cues. I emailed Tom Watters but haven't gotten a response yet.

One of the cues I purchased recently was shipped in a cloth 1x2 cue bag with a ribbon tie. I'd like to purchase more of these, but apparently my Google-fu isn't up to the challenge of finding them. Can someone point me to a site that sells these? Thanks!

Today I finally added an original George Balabushka cue to my collection. I have letters of authentication and provenance, and I'd really like to add an original business card to the documentation. Does anyone have one they'd be willing to part with, or know somebody who does? Thank you...

Thanks for the insight. I bought a cheap 8-foot table that I'm going to mount on rails. If it doesn't work out as well as I'm hoping, I'm only out a few hundred bucks, and I can reconsider my options. If it works out well, I'll consider upgrading to a nicer table.
