Sanding left a bunch of white sawdust embedded in cue. What do I do? What happened?

Compressed air and magic eraser works for me.

    Tip Replacement in Lakeland FL

That is true, but I was referring to people that tried to do it themselves and just butchered it. Tips, ferrules and even the shaft itself.

    Tip Replacement in Lakeland FL

Unless they are the hack. I've had to fix a lot of those that can't.

    Kamui

This is why everyone groans every time a new best tip thread appears. There is no best tip or tip size, cue weight, ferrule etc. try different ones until you find what works for you. I have tried some different brands (too many to have tried em all yet) I personally love the Ultraskins. Doesn’t...

    Kamui

This is interesting since the black and clear black are the same tip, just one is pre-glued to a clear pad. Not sure why you are getting better results. Personally I got tired of the constant maintenance.

Have you ever had an old Dufferin sneaky pete (from Canada) converted?

Honestly, I have no idea. I've searched a bit but never found any specific info on the year or model. for those two.

    Dufferin silver leaf custom sneaky?

One of my first cues was a Dufferin conversion, I have second I will do someday. Post in thread 'My first tip install' https://forums.azbilliards.com/threads/my-first-tip-install.530532/post-7809069 It was my player for a while, but now has become my breaker since I made my Titlist conversion.

    ferrule

Yes, I get a little pucker when drilling the first hole in Tomahawk from the heat, but after that no problems drilling, boring, or tapping. I am new to Hydex but no issues so far. Here are some videos live threading and taping.

    Anti-elbow drop machine

It's not if you drop it, it's when. After contacting the ball it doesn't matter.

    Predator Shaft Query

This created more uncertainty. What you described makes no sense. It’s simple: shaft, vault plate, silencer/impact pad, and then tip.

    Ring billet material (Carmeli)

After getting it side by side the original is definitely a bit more off-white than the phenolic. I did a little test to see it with some finish. the ring is thicker than the original so don’t judge that, it’s just a test piece. Visually it looks fine but zoomed in the phenolic “grain” is visible.

    Clear coat options

I did my first few cues with CA. It is a cheap and easy way to get started. It is simple and quick to apply. No issues with bubbles and polished up great. One of my first conversion cues I leave at my local hangout has a CA finish. I use it weekly with no real effort to protect it and the CA...

    Modifying Butt End of Cue

First details on the butt's construction will determine what and if something can be done. Existing weight bolts can also be an issue, but in general a plug of wood or phenolic is added to be able to thread for the extension bumper. Phenolic for regular bumper, but same idea.

    Ring billet material (Carmeli)

Ok thanks. I had forgotten there was a white version. Also wondering if the black is ebony or synthetic. I know you can use anything I was just curious if anyone knew what he would have used for an easier match. Or if there was a preferred material for this kind of ring. I used a paper...

    Ring billet material (Carmeli)

Thanks Kim, it appears too white to me and there is no visible lines or grain. Scott

    Ring billet material (Carmeli)

Update: Here is the actual cue. I'm just inquiring if there is a known or at least common material used. The white phenolic I used was not exactly 1/8" (0.125) it was 0.131-ish so I had to hand sand each strip to fit. I'll clean up the billet soon and make some rings to test out and see if...
