    Break Speed DISCUSSION

Joey, One aspect of the break not mentioned so far (I might of missed it) is the amount that the cue ball jumps during the break shot. I've noticed in my own practice with the break speed app that when the cue ball barely jumped at all I produced higher speeds. It seems to lose velocity the...

SVB and discussion on rack your own on TAR podcast

Unfortunately a 9 ball rack is very easy to manipulate. If you play rack your own 9ball tournaments if you don't know how to give yourself a rack that will make a ball you are giving up a handicap. :frown: The pros without a doubt have figured out how to rack themselves friendly racks and use...

    " Tapper Roll"

Jake, I think I know what you meant what you said dead on. I think most people don't notice the variations if a shaft is close. It is really obvious if the tip jumps around when rolled on a table. Taper roll is what happens in the gap- and there are different levels of this variation. What...

    " Tapper Roll"

acceptable tolerances? There is no such thing as a perfectly straight shaft.... It is all a matter to what tolerance you are expecting when you say straight. A slight taper roll is generally acceptable but is worth mentioning when selling something so that you are describing the cue...

Aiming Systems • THE COMPLETE TRUTH

Hey Joey, As someone who has been annoyed at times at the aiming discussions here on az I appreciate this post. It is based in reality and experience on the table. Aiming systems are not the answer to everything in pool or the gospel-> just a tool in getting better at one major aspect of...

    Tiger emerald delaminating... Anyone else?

That clicky sound you are describing is an indication of a tip that is losing it's glue bond. I wouldn't base how that type of tip plays from the one that is on the cue now as it would be a bad example. (being that it is probably past repair at this point) Dud

This kid needs an aiming system

Looks like he aims just fine to me.... Dud

I Just Don't Think They See It

The reality is--> learning how to aim takes time. The angles on shots are infinite. Only through work and time on the table will you figure out how to aim and pocket balls. If an aiming system works for you that's fine. Shane's statements on a tar podcast fast lenny linked to in...

    One pocket Shot

This shot is very playable as you have it diagrammed. a little low left is very helpful as you can hit it firm enough to get the object ball out of the danger zone. (danger =leaving a bank) The draw and english really help the ball die after hitting the object ball. As others have said you...

Charlie Williams named as Captain Team USA Mosconi Cup!

don't get it I'm sad that Nick is no longer the Captain. He is a champion who has always represented the best side of pool. As far as Charlie is concerned it just doesn't make much sense to me. But, I still will enjoy the Mosconi cup because I like seeing the champs play. Dud

    Crown Cue

You wouldn't happen to have a predator in that same joint to check would you?? If not I might buy it without verifying but I usually hesitate because I don't like to have non-standard shaft diameters. That way my shafts are interchangeable from cue to cue. Dud

    Crown Cue

Nice offering, Do you know what the diameter is at the joint? Hoping it matches an aftermarket shaft. Dud

Advice needed on recent Kamui Black S tip experience

I would definitely advise staying away from any blade to shorten your tip. If you tried to cut off a layer you would probably upset the fibers of the tip. This is my personal favorite for serious removal. http://www.seyberts.com/products/Sandman_Tip_Tool-58-24.html For scuffing I just use a...

Advice needed on recent Kamui Black S tip experience

A slightly deader hit is to be expected.... this is why I like the Kamuis. (I play with a Kamui Black SS) I find it much easier to control the amount of spin I put on the cue ball with my predator using a SS. It in no way is a hard hit. If it bothers you allot take down a layer or two...
