Yea I agree, this topic has been beaten to death. Pantograph or CNC I don't care. For me what really sets cue makers a part is there imagination/creativity/originality. After a while diamonds and peacocks get old. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Eyeballing will get you within a couple of thou pretty easily. There are other methods if you want to be dead nuts. If centers are aligned then sure you can do it your way without any issues. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Set your z a few thou from the surface of the forearm. While lowering your cutter a thou or so at a time sweep across the forearm until you make contact. Center your end mill on the cut you just made and you’re done. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I’ll try not to be too biased in my reply. When you look at a full splice you are looking at the actual construction of the cue. With a Merry Widow/short splice etc you have no idea what the internal construction looks like. Could have been put together with a one piece core, a connecting screw...
