    Looking for a MN player

Isn't there any MN players on here? Surely someone knows him or at least remembers him. I'll be back in MN soon and I'd like nothing more than to catch up with Chris and play some 14:1 or pool of any kind.

    Abe Rich Cues

I'm curious to know more about them, his construction techniques, how they play, etc. Beyond all of that, why don't they sell for more? It seems like a historically important cue that collectors would be fighting over. I've seen new (never played with) old stock from the 70s selling for $200...

Well I'm going to try to make a long story shorter ( at least as short as the story will allow ). I'm a tattoo artist. Years ago there was a guy that would come in to my shop continually, bugging me to cover up his tattoo. He had a little tattoo when he was young and years later someone...

    earning your cue?

That reminds me of a story from years ago. I knew a guy ( I won't mention his name ) That had a George Balbushka made for him in 1972 I think. He was in Chicago on a business trip and when he came out of his meeting the trunk of his car was busted open and the cue was gone. It was insured so he...

    Fav pool movie

The Baltimore Bullet was great although I like all pool related movies. Does anyone remember a pool related film from the 70s or 80s that took place in Australia ( I think )? All I remember is some guillotine device mounted on the rails (for removing fingers) and white cloth on the tables so...

Dave, I have no idea what that is so I'm guessing that I'm not a vermiculturist. I just looked it up. I am not. Johnny

OLD Palmer ID - Ebony Points, Bushka Veneers.

My guess would be a model I from the second catalog (1968). I'm no expert, I'm just guessing based on info from the Palmercollector website. I think that he is on here as well ( under the name Tate ). I'd contact him if I were you. He seems to be the expert. Good luck, Johnny

Thank you. I feel like I didn't forget anything. The trick seems to be getting my arm to do what I'm telling it to do. When I did play, I wasn't a really great player. So getting back to my old level will only be half of the battle.

The latest view of pool in popular culture.

I tried but I could only get through the first minute or so.

Thanks. There's not much to tell about the Palmer yet (it hasn't been delivered yet). It isn't old as far as Palmers go. I'm not sure why I worded it that way. I think it's probably older than cues most people would prefer to play with. It's a PB-6 with two original shafts and the...

Hello all. I just started playing again after a 15 + year break. I recently purchased an old Palmer cue and the research led me to this site. I just wanted to say hi and thanks for having me. I look forward to learning something from all of you. Johnny
