We're cyclop balls replaced by dynasphere? Any reviews on dynasphere?

Me too, ordered the eBay ones for $60. Here are Macaroons by the way. I see the similarity.

We're cyclop balls replaced by dynasphere? Any reviews on dynasphere?

The Tungsten line seems to be really popular and yet not much press available on the other sets. Why all the hype with the Tungsten set? Is it the look, or the value? From what I’ve seen and read they’re $350 quality balls for $80. Or they must blow away the competition in this price point...

    Equal Offense II

Been a few months since my first blog post about my Equal Offense practice routine, so it’s time for an update. I’ve been working on mechanics, and along with some decent table time I’ve seen improvement, that is until my overall score is evaluated. The goal to move up a level requires an...

A family of drills based on running racks

I’ll try to record my session later this week when I’ve got time at the table though it’s embarrassing. I’m going to follow the directions explicitly. Doing three racks at each level, not spotting balls. I believe that’s better after all! One thing I discovered I was doing incorrectly was...

A family of drills based on running racks

Thanks for then replies, I’ve been starting at level 4 as a warmup. Level 5 is mostly no problem. I can clear all six balls without BiH about 10% of the time, but I’ve really got no hard data yet. I successfully made my first rack at level 6 but went 0 for 5 right afterward. I either got...

A family of drills based on running racks

I know the rules are set, but regarding level 6, do you think an extra BiH would be fair? In level 5 at the minimum you need to pocket two groups of three (or all six w/o BiH would be nice...) But when you get to level 6 the minimum is pocketing 4 balls while contending with the challenge of...

A family of drills based on running racks

I think the circular 7-ball rack does, the center (money) ball has a tendency to drop on the break from what I’ve seen in those old classic ESPN matches from the 80s. Which brings me back to the idea of spotting all balls after the break. I’m spotting everything that goes down. (foot, head...

A family of drills based on running racks

In the middle of a session, and this drill system is really good. I like the progressive nature, especially increasing the number of balls as you move up. There’s a danger of getting a little over confident on the lower levels and a tendency to get a little careless, but once I hit my true...

A family of drills based on running racks

I’m going to try this soon, but wanted to recommend or get thoughts that all balls pocketed on the break be spotted. Keeping them down sort of defeats the drill purpose of sinking the required number of balls. (Of course this is whether one thinks sinking balls on the break is skill or luck)

A family of drills based on running racks

Well, the very first ranking is odd, after playing and accomplishing the drill you have graduated to never played. :D I think the rankings are pretty tough overall. I’ve played for decades off & on and being called a beginner is a little disturbing.

J pechauer Cues , Are they decent for a Custom Cue or just another Factory deal

For what it’s worth I have two; a JP USA model from 8 years ago, and another JP series I picked up recently with a little more bling and style points. No cue expert or aficionado, but the first cue sold me well enough to get another one.

    Question About Tight Pockets

I’m surprised shelf depth hasn’t been brought up as a toughness factor. Not sure the precise shelf depth between GC 4.5” vs 5 or 5.5” pockets, but I’ve played on both my own GC5 TE with 4.5” pockets and GC3 room tables with larger (I think to be 5”) pockets, and there’s a big difference in...

    YOUR Definition of Player Levels

What I’d like to know is the overall average using the A-D ability scale of every player in the world from Efren to each person that’s ever picked up a cue at least once in their life. My bet the overall average is pretty low. Like a C minus. I feel that most beginners, D, and low level C...

    Home Room Project - Groundbreaking

Wanted to keep updating the home pool room blog where I left off last fall. The room is completed, but wanted to continue with the chronicle. These pics are of moving the shed, groundbreaking and foundation laying.

    Tracking my progress

Going to 20 is the tournament/pro version of EO, but for my level in a pratice scenario they say clearing the table of all 15 is sufficient. Currently I’m at the 3 misses per inning level, and I need to average 120 over 10 innings to graduate to 2 misses. Scoring 15 plus the five extra balls...

    Line-Up

Ok found some more rules definitely confirming that scored balls are lined up after a player misses. These are from a copy of ‘Mosconi on Pocket Billiards’ copyrights 1948, 1959. Thanks Bob Jewett for your contribution since the latest BCA edition is unclear. Don’t everyone go running to...

    Tracking my progress

I starteted keeping track of my Equal Offense progress last month using Apple’s version of Excel called ‘Numbers’. Nothing fancy about it, but I’m keeping a running average. Mine is attached. Can’t think of any online tools to help keep track of your progress.

    Forty-One

The wife and I had some time to shoot again the other night and thought we’d continue our success by playing some more ‘Mr. and Mrs. Pocket Billiards’. Apparently my skills have increased in the last couple weeks. She had won 4 out of 6 games last time (2 because I fouled out), but this time I...
