    Minnesota Fats- Rambow cue

I wonder what it sold for.

If you have more than one playing cue, do you alternate? or how do you choose.

I used mix it up regularly but found that if I spend longer periods of time with cues, like a month, I tend to bond better with them. That way when I do switch it doesn’t feel like a fresh cue. It’s like revisiting a familiar face.

Why can I not see Post .

Maybe he inadvertently gave you red? I don’t know the post in question. I mean... we have words. Why not contact him and ask? I’ve had nothing but positive experiences with him. He’s a solid guy. Second chances?

    Position markers for practice

This happened to my father in laws table. In his case heat and humidity made it worse. We started taking them off after each day. No issues since.

Help with date of manufacturing Ebony Hoppe Cue

Great cue. I’ve been looking for an ebony for some time. I admit that I’d be one tempted to convert. I’ve got rough rosewood one on my bench that is going to be more work than I really want to put into it so I’ve put it off.

    Beware of Scammer

So my guy uses a PO Box for an address. I never picked up on it. You can’t serve a PO Box. So I was just out the money. Tried to get his parole officer to give the time of his check in so I could serve him but they wouldn’t disclose.

    Beware of Scammer

Scams are crazy these days. I got scammed by a contractor for 2k earlier this year. I didn’t let it go and started down the rabbit hole. Turns out he’s scammed people all over Texas for well over 100k over the last couple of years. All while being out on parole. Unbelievably the guy is still...

    Beware of Scammer

I don’t think it’s just one guy. These types of scams have circulated car and guitars forums I frequent.

    Mystery Willie Hoppe Cue Opinions

Yep. I’ve often wondered why we don’t see “relic’d” cues yet. Relic-ing guitars and patina vehicles are all the rage these days. That cue would look better with some relicing especially that sticker.

Would You Still Gamble With This Guy?

Yeah I feel you. I’d argue ball in hand isn’t a break and he’s not entitled to a foul under the ruse that it’s a break. If I’m understanding correctly. Perhaps consecutive fouls is a lose etc. Maybe if some of your other teammates agree with you it could be addressed as a team. But again...

Would You Still Gamble With This Guy?

You were outsmarted. You should adapt and overcome. With that said if it’s not important to you to solve dealing with an a-hole I wouldn’t blame you for passing on playing him the next time. For me I’d solve his gimmick. If you’re the better player you should be able to get back over on him.

    Trends in type of joint

This is not to criticize anyone’s methods or beliefs but as a hobbyist builder and my own personal opinion I like 3/8-10 for two reasons. For me, When making a cue, inserts are a pain to install, it’s extra work I don’t feel doing. Pin to wood has always felt a little more natural to me...
