Sealed In By Snow - Stop The Insanity - eriously!

I feel for you Chicken. The weather this year has been so unpredicable. Just a few days ago the temperature was 78 and then the winter storm came in. The temperature will be in the mid 60's for the next few days. Maybe I'll try to stay indoors too - don't want to catch cold.

A beautiful table. I love that Simonis Tournament Blue. Donny has done my table too. No doubt that he is the best in the west and also the nicest guy.

F/S Joe Porper model B lathe

Needless to say I'm quite disappointed in Dave. I don't know him but thought he was a nice guy helping people by showing how he made a leather cue wrap jig and posting on YouTube how he installed cue tips. He was criticized about making a wrap jig and I stated that it was unfair. Boy, was I...

Ambitious idea to "make" a cue with hand tools

It's an ambitious project and I wish you the best. The biggest hurdle would be drilling the butt exactly in the center and straight. You can do it but it won't be easy. Please do keep us informed of your progress.

How to remove sticky residue off of cue handle (that is missing wrap)?

I wouldn't use any liquid. When I recovered my cue I removed the linen wrap and carefully sanded the old glue off the cue. Doesn't take much to it so go softly.

    Coin-op pool table ?

I have a Global bar box that plays extremely well. I had it recovered with Simonis 860HR and a new set of rails from Ridgeback Rails (highly recommended - just do a search on this Forum for many positive reviews). To answer some of your questions: 1. As far as I know all 7 foot bar box tables...

    Please Help

Yes, the "G" logo on the end rail indicates that it is indeed a Gandy table. Sorry, but I'm not familiar with the model you show in the picture. The commercial models of the Gandy are excellent tables. We have two nine footers in my Community center and they play very well. From the picture...

    shaft ding repair?

Instead of a soldering iron, I use a regular iron. I wet a paper towel and cover the dent with a single layer of the wet paper towel and hold the iron on it for a minute or so. If it's not completely gone, then just cover it again with another section of the paper towel and iron away. Done it...

    Decal Removal

I have an old Cuetec cue with decals. I'd like to do some experimenting with it. Is there a way I can remove the decals without destroying the finish?

    "Bata" vs "Pangit"

At first I thought it was you shooting and said to myself "He's not half bad". Then I recognized Efren and decided "He's BAD!". Sorry I didn't see more of you. Thanks for posting the video.

Those are the ones I bought too. They work really well for me but I only use them to trim tips. Glad you like them.

Karen Corr: Does anyone else see this similarity?

Watched her play for the championship last Sunday against Gai Young Kim. She looked dazed. If you watched the game, you'll understand. Kim pulled off great shot after great shot after great shot. Kim was "Simply Amazing".

    My wrap Jig

Dave, do you plan a double cut (for each side of the leather seam) or a single cut (overlap the leather)?

    Thank you ALL

This is a great site for learning. During the past 3 or 4 years I've learned a lot about cue construction and maintenance. I've progressed from manually installing cue tips to buying a lathe for that task. So, here's a big thank-you to all you guys that share their expertise. It's well...
