Oklahoma Don't get much past the midwest in my travels - but in the areas out here in the west where I do go, I see a lot of very, very good players concentrated in Tulsa and Oklahoma City. Las Vegas and Phoenix/Tucson also have more than their share of straight shooters.

I have had 2 Guffey cues and, regretfully, sold them both. I was told, I forgot by whom, that his production cues were made by McDermott and had a gold JG stamped on them. I had one of those and vividly remembering it had a very pleasant hit.

Howard's I'm assuming you mean Rick Howard and not Ron Howard. Rick Howards cues consistently have a very smooth hit, unique among the cues I've had the pleasure to play with. I love em. Also worth mentioning, most folks that try his cues really like the taper that Rick uses on his shafts.

Bingo! This is exactly the thing to do. You don't need one of those Porper travel cases. Your regular hard case inside the wheeled duffle works fine, making sure to pad it as per Randy9Ball. *** KEEP A RECEIPT from when you buy your cue. If its from a custom cuemaker get them to fudge...
