Silliest/craziest set up shots you've made money with

We used to do something like this at the bar but with two balls frozen lined up center pocket in every hole. See who can make all the balls in the least shots. Obviously if you use alot of draw and hit the balls square the first hit ball should follow forward and get pocketed too. Best I could...

What do you want for Christmas..?

I think anything nice I will probably have to buy myself. I am sure I'll get the same ol' socks, books, and such from my parents. I splurged myself on a Bob Frey sneaky a month ago (love it BTW) so cues are covered. I would like a 3x5 Justis case so I may order one now that I got a raise...

Yep, even the best pre-laid plans get fudged. Thanks for everything you've done within the WesternBCA. They are always great tourneys. I'll see all of you guys in Vegas for sure. Let me know if you are going down for VNEA or others as well. Short drive to come watch.

I am ladyless and childless so schools are not really relevant at this point. :) Kind of why I was a good candidate within the company to move. I work off Fruitvale and Krebs Road for Dunkin & Bush, Inc. An Industrial Painting Company working in the valley for Chevron, Aera, Shell Oil...

    Bakersfield Bound

Well after a month of negotiations my company and I have agreed for my moving to Bakersfield, CA and Project Manage out of that office. Its a big move for me having never lived for an extended period of time out of the Northwest. We'll see how it goes. I have been in contact with the local BCA...

    Seattle Suburb

No the 211 Club has been closed for about 5 years or so. Not enough parking and not enough clientelle to keep the doors open. Was a great place, but these days you have to have food, liquor music, etc to get people in the door. The old time pool hall is sadly a thing of the past.

Portland, OR -- where to go?

Might be talking about Halftime Tavern which is in Hazel Dell, just north of Vancouver. 8 tables and quite a few tourneys/leagues. Can find a game there. I play out of Back Alley Bar & Grill on Mill Plain & Andresen. 6 tables, sports bar atmosphere. Some gambling if wanted. They have a tourney...

Big money pool tournaments in out of the way places.

Yeah The Break is a nice paper with tourney results up and down the west coast to Montana and into Arizona. There are a bunch of tourneys around, just depends how far you want to drive to get there. Tourneys like the Longview, WA $1000 added tourney is like this. $40 entry+$10 green fee with a...

    Big cueballs...what a difference

So I have been in Bakersfield the past week and played pool at the pub (Pour House on Fruitvale) by my office almost every day while having some cocktails with co-workers. They have one table and it has a big cueball. Previously I've only played maybe 20 games with a big cueball while I was...

In Bakersfield, CA till Nov. 16th

I am going to be in Bakersfield for another stint at our office for support while we are swamped. Some nights I am going to go around checking out the various poolhalls and/or pool bars. Kenny Dodd told me of the Cue Ball off of Rosedale so I will probably check that out tomorrow night. The Pour...

    poolhalls in Everett?

What was his name? I am sure if you wanted action you could have gotten it from Harry Platis in 1P along with Todd Marsh, Dan Louie, Mike Zimmerman, J.D. and any number of others for 9B. If you beat one of them for $200 I bet you could have made more. They would not quit for $200 so I don't know...

    poolhalls in Everett?

Yeah I have never been there but Schotze's always runs alot of big tourneys and the WA bar box championship. You can go a little south form there to Uncle Jacks in Lynnwood or to Dr. Cues in Bothell.
