Hard to Find the Center of the Cue Ball

I place the CB in various spots depending on what hit I'm working on. If in the jaws it's for one handed or stun follow thru. Farther out for a straight stun or follow thru. It's nice to have a variety.

Hard to Find the Center of the Cue Ball

I'm guilty of not being more strict with my PSR and it causes misses due to laziness. I need to be more diligent when aiming and keep a tighter leash on myself. The pic is one of my practice routines for stun and follow and should practice more often. The tape is for a one handed shot with...

People who use chalk holders...what do you do when

I've had this leather/suede chalk holder for almost 50 years and as soft/supple as the material is the chalk never falls out.

    Pool table brush

I use a small vacuum cleaner then the damp cloth and the table is nice n clean. I hand clean the balls prior and notice a difference in how it all plays overall.

Why You Choke Easy Shots Under Pressure

I miss easy shots all the time and never stop and reset. I attribute that to 50+ years of playing and never think of missing an easy potable ball. I shrug it off and call myself a dummy or idiot out loud hoping I hear myself lol. It's gotta be in my ears lol

Tim Padgett sneaky Pete price check

I don't remember what I paid 35+ years ago but adding the rings and changing the pin doesn't make it a custom cue. It was born a Dufferin lol

    Calling all gazillionaires!!!

The best investment was getting a 9ft (used) for my house. I use it every day for practice and go out once a week to the poolhall which is almost an hour away. I'm not a world beater by any means but when you can bank or kick and play some runouts it's living the dream

    Todays Sneaky Pete cues

35+year old Dufferin Sneaky Pete. It's 17 0z and turned down to 11.5mm and I use it as a break cue. It's straight as a die and if I put a quality tip on it I could use it as a playing cue as it hits that good. I had the black ring installed after somebody picked it up thinking it was a housecue...

Is removing your glove a shark move?

I had a moment yesterday and thought WTF is this goof doing. First off I waited 10-15 min after our match was called for him to show up then the 1st game he misses a shot and scratches. I get the CB and looking at the pattern for a second and he's pulling balls out of the pocket on the next...

    Jitters or nerves

Thanks for all the replies/suggestions and believe me I'm paying attention! Today was my best at bat sofar and boy it felt good. I felt great at the table and played about 50% and beat the old guy pretty handily. I was dialed in,my break was working and playing on new cloth was no problem other...

    Surprise !

I don't know what tip it came with but it was too hard for my liking. I put an Elk Master on it and will get it changed to a quality layered soft tip when I see our local cue guy.

    Surprise !

I changed the tip ( too hard) to an Elk Master and it hit much better but will be putting a soft layered tip when I see the local cue guy. I find the cue is pretty good for a cheap cue

    Jitters or nerves

I practice my break, kick shots, banks and hooking myself, cut shots and spinning the CB 2-3 and 4 rails at home then go out on Fridays and play sets with an old timer that plays good. There's not much action with the top players here that I've seen and barely any action than the same 2 guys...

    Jitters or nerves

I hadn't played in 25 years and have health issues the past 3 years. The 1st tournament I was shaking like a nervous Nellie and managed to win my 1st 3 matches then had the guy 5-3 after playing a long bank combo on the 9 and then a BnR but couldn't get him out after that. I've really come along...

    Jitters or nerves

My biggest problem is assuming everything I'm shooting at is going in the hole. Im not used to getting back up and getting back down to make sure I'm 100% on the shot. Im hoping to turn it around

    Jitters or nerves

I used to be able to get motivated playing chirpers and knockers but that was many moons ago

    Jitters or nerves

I think i work myself up for no reason. I need to just slow down, take a deep breath and know it's my table and play the shot right and not just take my turn. I'll see how it works out this Saturday
