    Traveling with your cue

When I used to go on golf trips via airlines, I would wrap the golf club travel bag handle with pink duct tape. Sure made it easy to spot in luggage carousels.

    Traveling with your cue

I have some inexpensive cues, both playing and break, that I shoot as well with as any other cue I have. If I were going to travel I would take them instead of my more expensive ones, because I shoot just as well with them. If something happened it wouldn't be the worst thing.

    Taom chalk question.

Very true, and Dr Dave did a test of the most popular chalks and found that the main difference was that the premium chalks did not transfer to the cue ball or table like the cheaper chocks did. Additionally, they all seem to react positively and equally when side spin is taken to the extreme...

    Break/Jump tip advice

I think that is probably the most important aspect of a jump/break tip, that being does it work for both purposes. Many don't think it does well enough, that's why they have a separate break cue and a separate jump cue. I personally like a dedicated brake cue and also a dedicated jump cue, I...

    Taom chalk question.

It's like my car, with the common computer system, always coming up with the warning possible ice on the road, when it is 20° outside. Has common sense become a thing of the past, or are people that stupid they have to be told the basic things in life? Thank goodness they had the warning on...

    Clear Ferrule Finally Installed

Isn't that the case with the entire esthetic nature of cue sticks, including inlays, decals, wood grain, etc. We all fall into this same group, desiring a nice looking cue, but at the same time those looks don't help any of us shoot any better. We are all subject to vanity. Btw, I won all four...

    Anyone play in TAP League?

TAP has a real intricate scoring system, that many don't know how to use properly. It takes too much effort to import the scoring, and steals away enjoyment from League play. APA scoring system is much easier, although I don't care for a lot of things APA does. I have played in both leagues, but...

    Restoring wrap advice.

Leather wraps are nice looking, come with various colors. If I remember right, I paid about $200 for a leather wrap. You may be able to get a better deal at the expo, though. If you decide and actually get a leather wrap, show us a picture when it's done.

    Restoring wrap advice.

I sent an Mali to Seyberts for them to install a leather wrap on, and they did an excellent job.

Which table is easier if you had to beat the ghost for $1 million?

I think I have run out one time on a 9-foot diamond table, and I play on them most of the time in my practice games with friends. The 7 ft diamonds, I have run out several times, and don't play on them as much as the nine-footers.

    NEW Bulletproof Synthetic Playing Tips.

I have been playing a bit with the bulletproof soft and have no complaints about it, just pretty much good stuff. I've loaned the shaft out to other accomplished players and let them try it out and did not have any negative responses from them. All of them liked it. Although, everybody is a bit...

    Cheap aiming assistant gizmo

To me, most of the stuff you put on the table is quite gimmicky. It doesn't take much to hone your stroke in and make it pure. Set up a diagonal shot the length of the table and shoot it in and stop the ball right where the object ball is. It is harder than you might think, but it really tests...

Which table is easier if you had to beat the ghost for $1 million?

I would have to say the 7-footer, and I think that would be the case for the majority of players. The balls might be a bit more open on the 9-ft table, but you have longer distances to pot balls. I watch people play on the 9-ft tables playing nine ball, 10 ball, and eight ball, and I rarely see...

Who says barbox 8-ball is harder than 9-foot?

Well it didn't seem that long to me while I was playing, cuz I have sort of a tunnel vision when I play. I don't focus on anything else except what I am doing, and the time must have slipped by without me realizing. My partners had to tell me how long the game lasted because I wasn't aware of...

Who says barbox 8-ball is harder than 9-foot?

This story is definitely an anomaly , butI had a league game against a 650 fargo player, 150 pts above my fargo, and beat him. It was strategy pool from the beginning and the game of 8 ball lasted about an hour.

Who says barbox 8-ball is harder than 9-foot?

My friends and I can rattle off 10 game races on 7 ft tables quickly, but takes much longer on 9 ft tables. Often times games are only an inning or two on bb's. When we play cut-throat 9 ball, we finish games in a minute or two.

Who says barbox 8-ball is harder than 9-foot?

SVB, when asked "how do newer players get better at pool"? He responded "play on 9 ft tables".

Who says barbox 8-ball is harder than 9-foot?

I play on Olhausens a couple days a week and agree 100% on the deep shelved pockets. Everybody complains how balls don't fall but just rattle in the jaws of the pocket because the Shelf is so deep. What is bad about that is it takes away a lot of shot making skills in order to position the cue...

Cuetec vs. Predator …. Is there a comparison analysis??

A lot of good comments, and agree that Cuetec is sort of plain i n their design, but my favorite carbon fiber shaft is the Cynergy. I don't own any Predator cues, but have used their cases. The Predator cases are nice but poorly designed in my opinion, the shoulder strap keeps tearing off the...

    Can anyone identify this shaft?
