    Traditional style builder

I have a steel joint Owen. I could not be happier. The cue is very well made and plays as well as any cue I have owned. You may also consider a G Bierbower, very traditional designs and a lot of cue for the money. There have been a few for sale on AZB recently.

    L R Ar pool scene

I will be moving to Austin Ar in 3 weeks or so.I have done a bit of internet searching and have found a few halls but most have 7 foot Diamonds. A couple of places in Little Rock have 1 or 2 nine footers.I really prefer big tables, won"t be playing 1 pocket on a bar box. I did see a place called...

An Idea that actually did work.

I started playing in a bowling alley also. Well maintained equipment at 60 cents an hour. This would have been the early 70s in the Mansfield Ohio area. Good times !

It’s going to be a great summer

I will be moving from Az to Ar in a month or so. I have had enough of the DRY HEAT and all the traffic. The good folks in the active adult community we live in see some ink and hear a bit of a drawl and seem to think we are just a couple of uneducated red necks and not worth getting to know I...

    2020 Home Pool Table Sales

I have been looking on CL for tables in the mid south area and have seen very few quality tables. $1500 for a crappy 7 footer. I am glad there are a lot of halls in the area we are planning on moving to. I really think that there will be bunches of tables back on the market now that the...

Slumps come out of nowhere. But luckily they don’t last long😎

I have never been very good at drills honestly. I was playing the 9 ball ghost the other day and was playing horrible, ran out 2 of maybe 10 racks. Position play was terrible. A guy stops by and wants to play some 8 ball and viola I play like a world beater, broke and ran a bunch of racks and...

    Keeping Cue Tips FRESH!!

I had OKC cuemaker Kent Taylor install a 1st gen Moori on a Mottry cue I owned.. The tip was at least 25 years old at the time. No issues whatever, played with it everyday with little or no maintanence. My tips are all kept in a small zip lock bag.

    1987 Richard Black Bushka

    Sharp points???

I know zilch about cue making but all my favs over the years have been made with long ,sharp points with veneers. I never cared for cues with a cloverleaf or some other embellishment at the end of the point. I always wondered if something was being hiddden. To each his own, cues are such a...

    Old match

I watched an old match..K Davenport vs J Mataya. It was nice to see a game with not a lot of fussing over the racks and pretty fast play. Kim even broke with his cue...a gus if I am seeing it right. I had spoken to him at a tourney in Tulsa when I noticed we had the same style of cue from Gus...

    Free....almost

I have 11 Dufferin red leaf house cues if any cue maker wants them. They all are 57 " long, various woods and weights. The shafts are all consistent..beat up and warped.I would think a decent sneaky could be made with these. I will happily send these to anybody that asks ..I would like a sneaky...

when a High End, High Value cue is ALTERED , what does it do to it's VALUE ?

If I really wanted the cue I would buy it. You could always send it to Tony at BB and he could put one of his wraps on it. Perhaps Cornerstone would take a bit less.
