Seeing the contact point on the object ball.

It's often useful to walk over to the object ball to check clearances. I do it with long thin ones where a few degrees error becomes the wrong shot. Players usually opt to miss these deliberately by over cutting them. Different priorities. Anyway, arming yourself with the image of <the object...

Justin Bergman is on a mission

I wonder if they could have simple compensation - like humes. Impulse response a table in a few minutes and then kick ass. With actual AI they could hustle too - make truly impossible games.

Isolation from their creators would be the only solution and then you'd have Irobot.

CPG of course. They can throw in exogeometry - that would be Nasa going it can't be this easy.

I've said pool is the quantum mechanics of tic-tac-toe. Robots can already replicate complex mobility and balance. The issues in pool robots would probably be mostly targeting.

    ''Kicking Out''.... Your Forward Foot

The guy on the next table had a horsier approach. I think if you move your leg for balance fine. If you move for histrionics sake and hope to land on the shot not fine.

Are Junior players being set up for a tough life?

Unresearched guess says most of the incarcerated came from a public school. The rest from academies or home schooling.

    This Keeps Happening

Something wrong with a solvable problem? BM mentioned Corey. 5, 9 IOW. Even if you land wrong on the 4, you could billiard the 9 and/or shoot the 5 in the other side. If I'm shooting well, there's a 4/6/9 trilliard that will send the balls to the sides of the table and leave you the 5 in the...

    This Keeps Happening

I wouldn't know. Put the 5 elswhere/do something different with the cue ball/shoot the 4 from center table so you can land on the 6 and shoot the 5 in the side.

Another stupid thread from me: golf is harder than pool

Golf require a big head to image all the acreage properly.

Are Junior players being set up for a tough life?

I use the paraphrase, "Make what you take." (It's a conceptual thing  ) If a bot could just manage that, people would learn what the players are trying and take it to the next level.

Understandably since they had to settle for humans.

Are Junior players being set up for a tough life?

It will finally set a good example for youth and pooldom. Frankly I'd cop anything I could off it.

Are Junior players being set up for a tough life?

Close enough. Defending Strickland's choice to cruise it. The guy is hog tied in the first place. I say lettim go, lettim play.

Very nice. That's a lot clearer than just the overlap.

Seeing the contact point on the object ball.

FWIW there's a missing diagram in my previous post which I re added. In the aiming forum, AI has apparently taken my drawing and attributed the diagram to Jimmy Reid. Pisser but pretty sad too: 2D, 3D - given a child could understand the contact drawings if taught them in conjunction with real...

Seeing the contact point on the object ball.

Drawing anything in paint is going to be a drawing challenge. You can simulate space of course: but a CAD would be required to do it right. Here's another Equal Angle Opposites drawing: Depth perception should be developed in any pool player who is able. Injuries, errant genetics etc...

Seeing the contact point on the object ball.

I just saw my paint drawing - this one, in this thread https://forums.azbilliards.com/threads/taking-the-pocket-out-of-aiming.586265/ attributed to Jimmy Reid. It's my depiction of his method. Somebody at least gimme credit for drawing it. Geez. Nice work with the contact lattice Patrick...
