I've been making 31" butts for myself to go along with 29" shafts, and I'm really liking this combination. The weight balance is a bit forward which is exactly what I want, plus it fits nicely into my JB case. I don't see myself playing with anything less than a 60" cue going forward.

The 5/16-14 fit really tight on a friend's cue, so I had to run a tap through it to get it to work. The pin was a common .308 major.

Ultraskin hard are softer than your average tip. Both black and fire are excellent tips. Stay away from kamui hard as they are harder than your average. It'll play more like a break tip. I wouldn't go more than medium if you want to try them.

I don't think I can ever get rid of my Joey Bautista or Sugartree. Both play fantastic, they move the cue with such little effort.

Use a leather cleaner such as saddle soap, wipe clean and let dry. Then use a leather conditioner such as bick4 or lexol. It should feel like new and more supple.
