    What's in your case?

Most people here would either use a 3/4 jointed cue or a one-piece. I personally prefer the aesthetics of one-pieces myself, but I do have a few 3/4s for snooker. Travelling with the case hasn't given me any issue. I don't drive, so I don't have the trouble of trying to stick it in a car.

    What's in your case?

I love seeing equipment threads, and there hasn't seem to have been one like this in a while, so I thought I'd make one. So what's in your case? Essentials? Funky equipment? Anything's welcome. Here's my pool cue case: 1: Cue (Peradon Custom • 57" • 9mm Elk Pro • 17.5oz) 2: One-piece aluminium...

How Do You Get Out From Here?

Slight stun off the 7 to go between the 8 and 9 and leave the cue ball just off the cushion from a soft hit. Play the long pot on the 8 into the top left and the 9 into the bottom right.

    Why a Full Splice?

I do that, too. Just a typical technique of chalking for snooker and English pool. Holding the cue at the tip end with your bridge hand and chalk with your cueing hand.

Worst and best cue you have ever used

Worst: Must've been some old rack cue in college. One of those cheapo €20 Argos cues with a centre-joint, a crap tip and loads of lacquer. Best: My custom Peradon. One-piece, 57", 9mm, 17.5oz. Thing feels and hits like a dream.

    Why a Full Splice?

Ken Doherty uses a 4/5 jointed warped machine-spliced cue. Won the 1997 world championships with the thing.

Tip - What flavor is everybody running these days - Just to see what is more liked

Actually haven't had the chance to actually try it on a table yet since I got my cue back in July due to COVID, but they look pretty similar to regular ones. Seems to hold chalk a little better, too, from an initial application.

Elk Master Pro. Been using the regular Elks for a number of years, but trying the Pros out for kicks.

    New Here? - Introduce Yourself

Hi, guys, I'm Greg and I'm from Dublin, Ireland. Been browsing The Snooker Forum for a few years and I thought I'd make an account here. My main cue sport is English eight-ball, but I also dabble in the odd snooker frame from time to time.
