    2025 ONEIDA WPA Women’s 8‑Ball World Championship

Does anyone know what happened with the bridge in the KZ vs Jamin match yesterday? KZ picked up the bridge. Looked at it funny. Tried a shot. Missed badly and then fouled lifting it off the table. After the game she said something to the ref and he took the bridge away. It cost KZ a game and was...

Time for new pool balls - Aramith Tournament Pro-Cup or Brunswick Centennial

Interesting. I have both sets as well. Never had that problem. Currently have the super pros on my home table. Haven't cleaned them in months. Look like new. But I don't use masters chalk. When I take my tournament balls to the pool hall they come back very dirty.

Time for new pool balls - Aramith Tournament Pro-Cup or Brunswick Centennial

I have a set of the Tournament Pro balls, traditional colors not the TV colors. I find the duramith balls to be dark. I prefer the Super Aramith Pro set. Colors are brighter.

    Rule Question

Are they new to straight pool? Maybe they don't know the difference between the head spot and the foot spot? j/k Maybe they are confused by the grey areas not being specified. I suppose you could state the balls are played in position. Seems obvious. But... The table looks fine to me. I...

    Mechanical Bridge Designs

CSI/BCA rules say pretty much anything goes. Except Earl's bridge hand extenstions. Max of two mechanical bridges on a shot.

Do you shoot pool with a hat on?

    Is this legal

What rules are you playing? In addition to the bca rules mentioned above, CSI also does not allow marking by placing chalk on the rail. Its a foul.

Billiards Digest April 2017 - Bob Jewett - Big Shots

Most if not all of Bob's progressive pratice shots can be found on Dr Dave's Billiard University website. I've been using them for years. They came with the material from SF Billiards BCA Instructor course way back when. 2004 or something.

Anyone here try Triple 60 shafts ??

I have a black 13mm break shaft. I've used it on 3 different cues with 3 different pins. Super cool. But I don't play with it. Just breaking. Which I like. Seems to be low deflection but I don't put much english on my break shots. Also the carbon fiber is nice. Doesnt scuff or ding. I use a wood...

Are Gold Crowns Still Being "Diamondized?"

If you can't hit a ball straight, how can you break a rack correctly? Break shots require precision.

    New predator centro shaft

I think the triple 60 carbon shaft that looks like wood is a better product. But I still play with a Predator Z.

Are Gold Crowns Still Being "Diamondized?"

I just read through this entire thread. To answer your first question, no do not spend money on your table. If you can miss a straight in draw shot 11 out of 11 times. Its not the table. There is something wrong with your mechanics or aim or both. My suggestion is to start with 4 balls. rack...

Quick question about Cut Induced Throw

Power lines have very high electrical fields (voltage) and very little current so the power lines won't lose a lot of voltage while traveling from point A to point B. Then at the end point the voltage is converted to current using transformers. They guy in the video talks about breaks in the...

Quick question about Cut Induced Throw

Um. This guy doesn't know what he is talking about. The first sign is he said "electrons in the power grid are just wiggling back and forth. they never really go anywhere." lol not even close to true.

Quick question about Cut Induced Throw

Probably what you are thinking of is when electrons move they create a magnetic field. The magnetic field is outside of the wire the electrons are moving through. Lots of cool ideas came from this discovery. Transformers are one. Electric motors another.

Quick question about Cut Induced Throw

Please pool players, do not talk about electricity and electomagnetics if you do not have a degree. I really hurts those of us who actually know about the subject.
